Today, members of Regina’s Muslim community gather in Bunge International Trade Centre for Eid ul-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice.
Celebrations started last night and can last for three to four days. It is marked by communal prayers, feasting, and the giving of Qurbani.
Eid is the most famous event in the Islamic religion.
Events like this highlight the rich cultural and spiritual diversity that strengthens our community here in Regina. They serve as a reminder of the importance of inclusivity, understanding, and shared celebration across all backgrounds.

The Regina Look Up Celebration with Will Graham is a free, family-friendly event coming June 12 & 13 to the Brandt Centre.
It will feature music from award-winning Christian bands and a message from evangelist Will Graham. It is open to everybody, and all are welcome to attend.

We join communities across Canada and around the world in raising awareness for preeclampsia and other hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, which affect 5-8% of pregnancies worldwide.
Preeclampsia is a serious and rapidly progressive pregnancy disorder that can impact both mother and baby. Through education, awareness, advocacy and research, organizations like Preeclampsia Foundation Canada are working to reduce maternal and infant illness and save lives.
Tonight’s illumination is a symbol of hope, support and solidarity for individuals, families and healthcare professionals affected by preeclampsia.
