Madalyn is coming off an illustrious career with the Badgers, earning Brock University Female Athlete of the Year and U SPORTS Player of the Year honours last season while also being named a three-time OUA Player of the Year!

Back-to-back provincial champions! 🏆

Brock women's soccer head coach Zack Wilson led the Simcoe County Rovers FC women's team to their second consecutive Ontario Premier League title!

Capturing the championship with two games remaining in the season, the Rovers celebrated with their fans at home this past Saturday after defeating Scrosoppi FC 5-1!

This year's championship squad features four former players (Sabrina Bisante, Tia Schaffer, Marilena Spagnolo, Stefanie Young), two incoming Badgers (Avery Cafaro, Maddy Heeley) and current assistant coach Mike Russell!

After last year's victory at the League1 Canada Women's Inter-Provincial Championship, the Rovers earned a spot to the inaugural 2026-27 W Canadian Championship and will take on Roses de Montréal FC on Aug. 12 in the quarterfinal round!

Please welcome our newest varsity club coaches, Heather Martin and Joe Jones!

Heather brings a wealth of figure skating experience as a NCCP regional coach with Skate Oakville! She also competed as a student-athlete with the Western Mustangs, capturing an OUA championship!

On the diamond, Joe brings a strong coaching background with the St. Catharines Select U17 and U21 teams! He also serves as the head of the select program and a travel team coach with Thorold Minor Baseball!

Join us in congratulating Lauryn Bons on being named the new head coach of the Brock Badgers women's rugby team!

Lauryn was an assistant coach for the Badgers last season and has experience coaching with Rugby Ontario's 7's and 15's programs, including at the 2025 Canada Summer Games! She is an OUA champion and two-time U SPORTS bronze medallist with the Queen's Gaels and has played for the Ontario Blues senior women's team and in the semi-professional Premier Ruby Sevens league!

We can't wait for October! Your men's hockey team hosts their home opener on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 6:00 PM versus the TMU Bold, while the women's squad's first home game is on Friday, Oct. 23 at 6:00 PM against the Nipissing Lakers!

Winning on home turf! 👏

Cassie Corbett and incoming Badger Zaur Arsagov led the results for the Brock Badgers wrestling teams at the 2026 Canadian U23 Wrestling Championships at Canada Games Park this past weekend! The Brock women's wrestlers at the event also earned the women's team award!

Placing first in the 72kg and 97kg divisions, respectively, Cassie and Zaur are now set to represent Canada at the U23 World Championships in Las Vegas, NV in October!

The other Brock medallists at the event included Francesca Lo Greco (Silver - 55kg), Olivia Mathezer (Silver - 57kg), Vanessa Keefe (Silver - 68kg) and Emma Chartres (Bronze - 53kg) on the women's side and Zakir Ibrahimkheil (Silver - 57kg) and Aiden O'Neill (Silver - 61kg) on the men's!

Brock alumna Garette Saunders won the 61kg event at the 2026 Non-Olympic Weight Class Trials and will represent Canada at the Senior World Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan in late October!

Your Brock Badgers men's golf team placed sixth at the 2026 Canadian University/College Championship last week in Lévis, QC!

Liam McKeiver placed tied for eighth individually, finishing with a -3 over three rounds!

Also competing for the Badgers at the tournament were Robbie Pemberton, Morgan Daly, Jaxon Kearns and Sebastien Albert!
