Seaside Lawn Bowling Club

Saturday at Centennial Lawn Bowling Club teams competed for 2 spots in the pairs competition for the 53rd annual Atlantics Lawn Bowling tournament to be held at Pointe-Claire Lawn Bowling Club in September.
Congratulations to Seaside's own Corey & Joe Briggs. Also joining them in Quebec will be Moncton's Jerry Kirkpatrick & Brian Myers. Well done and good luck in September.

Seaside hosted the provincial pairs for men & women on Saturday. It was a glorious day with perfect weather.
Congratulations to Centennials Jenny & Beth winning the women's side and Seaside's own Corey & Joe picking up the men's title for the second year in a row.
Well done to all bowlers in a very competitive field.

Our 2nd year of B-cubed (bowls,bbq,beverage) at Seaside started last night. It’s grown from 48 players last year to selling out 2 months ago with 64 players and a healthy spares list to boot.
A huge shoutout to our brilliant volunteers at Seaside as this couldn’t happen without them.
Cheers to another great fun season of B-cubed.

In this special two‑for‑one profile, we look at the Briggs family pairing — Joe and Corey — representing two generations of New Brunswick lawn bowling.

Joe Briggs — The Veteran
Joe is a long‑time competitor with deep experience at Canadian Championships, Provincial Championships, and Atlantic Championships. He’s a familiar and respected figure in New Brunswick bowls, carrying decades of competitive history and leadership within the Seaside Lawn Bowling Club.

Corey Briggs — The Next Generation
Corey is the newest chapter in the Briggs lawn bowling lineage — the young startup in a family known for its long-standing presence in the sport. Despite being early in his career, Corey has already competed in two Canadian Championships and is an Atlantic Championship title holder, winning alongside his father Joe. His growing involvement in Bowls New Brunswick marks him as a key part of the province’s future.

A Family Built Into the Sport
Together, Joe and Corey represent continuity, tradition, and the ongoing growth of bowls in New Brunswick — a father‑and‑son team carrying forward one of the province’s most recognizable bowling families.
