✨🎻 Don Messer Tribute 🎻✨
This choreography is a tribute to the incredible legacy of Don Messer, whose music is a cornerstone of Canadian culture and community.
It draws inspiration from the Buchta Dancers, whose dynamic performances alongside Messer helped shape the visual and stylistic identity of step dance across Canada.

From the bottom of our hearts we want to send a huge thank you to our dancers, dance families, friends and community members for making this year’s recital so memorable! ✨
We couldn’t have done with without the support of our community, and for that we are forever grateful.
We would also like to thank Comhaltas Saint John for joining us on Saturday afternoon sharing beautiful Celtic music throughout our program as well as two of our junior step dancers, Jadea and Nova who played a special duet for us 🫶🏻

We are a little less than two weeks away until showtime! ✨
Our dancers have worked extremely hard all year for this moment and we can’t wait to share what they’ve been working on. From new and long-time dancers, they’ll transport you through history and tradition from Scotland, Ireland and the Maritimes with lively and engaging choreography in Highland, Irish and Step Dance🏴🇮🇪🇨🇦
Throughout the program, audience members will also enjoy musical performances by our multi-talented dancers and a few special guests 🎻🎶

A big congratulations goes out to our very own, Emily Peacock for successfully passing her Grade 6 CLRG Dance Exam over the weekend at the Atlantic Canadian Irish Dance Championships 🎉
She is one step closer to completing the necessary journey to receive her Teacher’s certification 🎶☘️

This workshop is perfect for beginners and advanced dancers alike. Share in the experience of learning set dances, highlighting the social aspect of Irish Dance. No previous experience necessary!

Irish Céilí Dancing Workshop (Delta Hotel, 39 King Street, Saint John)
Step into the lively world of Irish social dancing with Emily Peacock from Celtic Roots Dance Academy! This engaging and fun-filled workshop is designed to introduce you to the vibrant and communal spirit of traditional Irish dance. In this workshop, participants will learn popular group dances such as the Ceili and Set dances, which are the heart of Irish social gatherings. Dancers will experience the joy of dancing in a group, moving in sync with others, and enjoying the lively music. No experience necessary and open to all ages. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and shoes that allow them to move freely. No special dance attire is required.

We’ve had a full weekend of St. Paddy’s fun ☘️
Some of our adults danced at Pub night with Farraige on Friday, a group visited the residents at Shannex - Tucker Hall and provided some high energy entertainment on Saturday, and this evening we hosted a Céilí!
Thank you all who came out to support us this weekend 🫶🏻
This time of year is busy for Celtic dancers and musicians, and we wouldn’t have it any other way ✨🥰
