The Seniors Rulebook

As seniors, we’re already challenged by our bodies’ age. Therefore, some special rules are applied during a round of golf.

The Tree Rule: �
A ball hitting a tree is deemed not to have hit the tree, as luck has no place in a scientific game; estimate where it should have gone and play from there.

The Rough Relief: �
Slices or hooks into the rough can be lifted and placed on the fairway with zero penalty because seniors shouldn't pay for un-mowed grass.

No Lost Balls: �
There is no such thing as a lost ball; it is merely "stolen" by someone who pocketed it, so no penalty applies.

Breakfast ball:
�If you hit a bad shot off the tee in the morning, you may hit another ball without penalty. This rule is available on subsequent holes until noon. After that, they are called mulligans.

Gravity Override:
�If a putt passes directly over the hole without dropping, gravity is overruled and the putt is deemed good.

Out of Bounds Exemption: �
Out of bounds does not exist; stingy course designers simply didn't buy enough land, meaning the player deserves an apology, not a penalty.

Water Hazard Amnesty: �
Water penalties are waived because golf balls should naturally float, and players shouldn't suffer for manufacturer shortcomings.

Equipment Discount: �
Since new gear is pricey, players can subtract one-half stroke per hole when using old equipment.
