Team Ascend is back for Week 2 of our Car Wash Fundraiser, helping our athletes wash their way to the 2026 Commonwealth Karate Championships in Glasgow, Scotland!

We had an incredible turnout last weekend, and we’re ready to do it all over again today!

Come by, get your vehicle cleaned up, meet some of our athletes and families, and support the team. Every donation helps get us one step closer to Glasgow!

Summer has a funny way of making karate uniforms shrink… or maybe the kids are just growing!🙌

As we get ready to head back to the dojo for another exciting season at Avalon Karate, now is the perfect time for the Official End-of-Summer Gi Check!

🥋 Sleeves suddenly creeping toward the elbows?
🥋 Pants showing a suspicious amount of ankle?
🥋 Belt seems longer, but the gi somehow got shorter?
🥋 A uniform that fit perfectly in June looking a little snug?

After a summer of growing, it might be time to move up to the next size!

Give those gis a quick try-on before Fall classes begin so your karate student is comfortable, looking sharp, and ready to get back on the dojo floor!💪
