Runback Canadian Junior Cup – Game Update 🥌

We earned a 7–4 win over Team Murray today, and we want to take a moment to recognize them properly.

Team Murray is a U15 girls team who stepped in to fill an open spot so this bonspiel could run as planned — and that matters. Playing up against a U18 team is no small task, and they showed up with heart, grit, and a willingness to compete right to the final stones.

They also had the Peel Squad in the stands cheering them on and keeping spirits high — a reminder of how much community and support matter at events like this. This team has serious upside. They pushed through to the end, kept learning, and never backed down.

Respect to Team Murray for filling an important spot in this bonspiel and for representing themselves and their age group so well. The Runback is better because of teams like this.

Runback Canadian Junior Cup – Game 1 ✅

We opened the Runback with a strong first game, taking an 11–2 win over Team Keon. The ice was FAST — definitely the kind that takes a game (or two) to learn — and credit to both teams for adjusting on the fly in the first draw of the bonspiel.

Huge respect to Team Keon for the battle. First games on fresh, quick ice are never easy, and this event always brings great competition.
