KINGS ON THE RUN Sport Fishing

Cool to see the salmon using the Don River again!

🐟 The salmon are on the move!

Our Aquatic Monitoring team spotted migrating salmon in the Don River this week! As temperatures cool, salmon instinctively make their way back to the rivers where they were born to spawn.

Over the next few weeks, keep an eye out at your local streams and rivers for these incredible fish making their journey home. In more urbanized, warmwater streams, it may take a little longer for salmon to appear as cooler temperatures help guide their way.

Serious young anglers are so much fun to be around. They absorb the information and love every minute of the experience. Stan was helping me clear the rods when his PB Steelhead inhaled the spoon. He will remember this forever. Take a kid fishing and let them enjoy the outdoors.

A wee bit foggy leaving the pier heads this morning. Days like today make you love the autopilot even more!
