Good morning, Toronto! Time to practice!
This week has been insane with the inaugural CAVA Gala on Thursday night. For the last few months my time hasn’t been my own with all the work that went into this. And I didn’t do half the work others were doing! It was absolutely worth it and a roaring success! But I had to take the full day off yesterday to do almost nothing but read, sleep, and be alone to recharge my introverts batteries. I didn’t get out of my pjs! It was perfect.
One if the things I did do was ponder about how I spend my time in general. What I do everyday. What I want to do. What I talk about doing but never actually get around to doing.
My mornings are very structured: up at 6:30am, water, coffee, meditation, journal, walk, gym, study for an upcoming training while I do cardio, walk home, breakfast, shower, workday starts by 9:30am.
Then it all goes to hell in a hand basket.
My workday is dictated by the volume of auditions that come in, client calls, coaching sessions, meetings, recording sessions, etc. NONE of it is predictable. Most days it’s chaotic. And by the time dinner roles around at 7pm I still have a ton to get through before bed at 10pm. There doesn’t seem to be time to do the things I want to do.
But is that true?
How do I create a structure within this whirling dervish of a life?
I know it’s not by adding a time slot to my calendar. Believe me, my calendar is full! But what if it only took the action of STARTING to make the change?
I was asked the other day in an interview what I would say to someone who had never practiced before or who had stopped practicing for a while who wanted to start yoga but was uncertain.
“Just step onto the mat. The rest will follow.”
Sometimes I’m deep…
The hardest part of change is always at the beginning. But when we take the first step and commit to repeating that first step daily, it becomes a habit. A habit becomes part of your structure. And that becomes part of your everyday.
Just step onto the mat.
Wanna join me? Class starts at 7am. 1768 Danforth Ave in person on online. See you on the mat 🧘🏼♀️

Good morning, Toronto. Time to practice!
I had offered to host a FREE class this weekend. And the class is still on and still FREE! But will be teaching as I had to leave town unexpectedly.
My mother-in-law, Elana’s Mom, Gitty Harte, passed away suddenly. Elana and I left Toronto immediately to get to Montreal to say our final goodbye and lay her to rest beside her husband, Bob.
Gitty was a tough cookie. She was fierce and funny. She has wicked one liners that would make me giggle. And dropped f-bombs almost as often as I do. Can you imagine THAT woman swearing?! It was the best!
We were here a few weeks ago to see her, knowing the end was near.
But this is how I will remember her. Vibrant. Feisty. At one of Elana’s gigs, the beaming proud parent of her rockstar musician daughter. And wearing her favourite red lipstick.
RIP Gitty

Good morning, Toronto! Time to practice!
I pay very little mind to most celebrities but I love Hannah Waddingham. She’s an amazing actress, single Mom, and stunning human. And she’s got the best shoulders 💪🏼
And now I have another reason to like her!
Habit stacking!
Adding something you want to do to an activity you already do. It’s the easiest way to get more of what you want done in a day without adding more time to your day.
Not only can you do squats while brushing your teeth. You can do them while waiting to be released by a voice client during a source connect session.
Or if squats aren’t your thing…
Do a face mask while you read.
Wash the dishes while dinner is cooking vs watching it cook.
Mediate while practicing asana.
There are only so many hours in the day… use them wisely! Why not start with yoga?
This morning 7am Mysore in person or online. Join us! There may be a few squats…

Good morning, Toronto! Time to practice!
People always talk about motivation and discipline to get things done. But rarely do people talk about the thing that makes the most difference, and that’s momentum.
I’m a gym kid who practices yoga. I’ve done both my entire adult life. But this year, the gym was dropped for FIVE MONTHS because of travel, illness, etc.
FIVE MONTHS.
So when I decided to go back, yes it took discipline and motivation to get my butt outta bed early to go… I dragged myself there on the first day.
But day by day, feeling my mind and body come back online… feeling things click back into place. Like going to bed earlier. Making better food choices. Paying more attention to my choices in general… that’s momentum!
One thing leads to another.
And the best part is feeling how lifting weights HELPS my yoga practice. I’m stronger, less creaky, and more connected to my body.
Have you been wanting to do something for your health but don’t know where to start? Start with movement like yoga!
FREE CLASS NEXT WEEK!
Today’s class offering is Mysore at 7am at 1768 Danforth Ave, in person and online.

Good morning, Toronto! How’s your practice?
I snuck off to Montreal for a couple of days to hang with my wife and see my agent, Lisa (we took zero pictures 🙄).
One of my goals this year is to take more time off. Whether it’s epic trips to Bali or weekend getaway’s close to home. When you work from home, stepping outside of your usual 4 walls is medicine to the soul!
Another one of my goals is to do and teach more yoga. So in the midst of all the crazy that is my life, I’m doing a yoga teacher training. It’s so much fun to be back in the seat of the student! Revisiting old reads. Learning old lessons with fresher perspectives. It’s lighting me up!
Finding ways to find our calm is overlooked in hustle culture. But man! It’s so needed!
I’m currently lounging in bed in a typical Montreal apartment Airbnb smelling coffee brewing before we take on the day. A little moment of calm to feed my soul?
You know what else helps? YOGA.
Thank you to for teaching while I’m away! I’ll be back teaching at Modo on Monday 4pm Hot Flow, Tuesday 8am Hot Flow, Wednesday Hot Flow 7pm, Saturday at MTO 7am Mysore!
See you on the mat 🧘🏼♀️

Good morning, Toronto! Time to practice!
I’m back! And after 2 weeks of daily practice, clean eating, meditation, and daily walks, along with creating a schedule for myself to maintain when I got home… well… it was a nice thought 🤣
The moment I got back the schedule went out the window, I had a full blown anxiety attack, and had to make a decision that I had been putting off for months. But my mental health comes first!
The thing is, I had in some way agreed to this. I had agreed to this insane work schedule; the hustle, the grind, the being available 24/7. And for a while it was fun! Until it wasn’t.
I had to look at what was draining me, what was keeping me away from the stuff I love! I had to be honest with myself. And the moment I was, everything felt lighter. I was able to step away from my desk and go for a walk.
The thing about discipline, is that sometimes we need to get derailed to see how much we need it. This is why I created the “Come Back to Yourself” Retreat this summer in Quebec City. To create an opportunity for those of us who are ready to create the space we so desperately need. Who’s coming? Maybe start with this mornings class? Everyone is welcome!
7am Mysore in person and online at 1768 Danforth Ave. See you on the mat 🧘🏼♀️

OMG! The retreat is real! And it’s happening this summer!
July 10-12, 2026. Quebec City CANADA
We’re staying at Le Monastère des Augustines - a restored Augustinian cloister in the heart of Old Quebec.
Think stone walls, quiet corridors, and the kind of stillness that makes you remember who you are.
Here’s what your weekend looks like:
✦ 7 yoga and meditation sessions
✦ 5 meals — all included, all prepared for you
✦ Morning led practice, pranayama, Yoga Nidra
✦ Free time to wander the cobblestone streets of the oldest city in Canada
✦ Saturday afternoon in the middle of Fête du Québec - live music, street performers, and the whole city celebrating summer
This is not a high-performance weekend. It’s not a grind. It’s a chance to put the phone down, step away from the booth, and remember that your instrument is your body - and it needs care.
All levels welcome. No prior yoga experience needed. Many people come alone.
15 spots. That’s it.
Starting at $956 CAD + taxes per person (double occupancy).
