Helping balloon pros ditch the overwhelm and master the business side of things—sales, marketing, and strategies that actually work.

It’s time to grow your dream business, stand out, and make every event unforgettable!

All 3 number foils came out defective, and that’s when most people realize their pricing has a hole in it.

Because it’s not just the balloon you lost. It’s the helium. The trip to the supplier. The time. The gas. The scramble to fix it on a deadline.

None of that shows up in your price if you’re not accounting for it. And if it’s not in your price, it’s coming out of your pocket.

After 9 years running , here’s the simplest way I can put it:
Price = True Cost × Your Multiplier
True cost isn’t just the product. It’s everything that balloon touched before it got to the client.

I’ll share how I build my pricing in the first comment below, but first, tell me: are you actually accounting for defects and setbacks when you price your work? 👇🏻

Check out Valentina at the start and then at the end 🥹 Thats a 9-year journey for me. If you look closely, you can really see the years passing.

I’m sharing this because I see so many artists getting stuck in the “more is better” trap. They start adding event planning, props, cakes, and basically trying to be everything to everyone just to get a booking. If that’s what you love, go for it, but honestly, you don’t need all the extras to have a successful business.

What you actually need is to get really good at making balloon garlands and even better at the marketing and sales side.

Once you’ve got the technical part down, stop obsessing over the balloons and start obsessing over your numbers. It took me a few years to really get this, but you have to understand your profit margins and set actual sales goals. You aren’t just “pricing,” this is your future.

Then, you need to master social media and video marketing. Get good at posting content that connects before you ever even think about spending money on paid ads. And please, remember that excellent customer service isn’t a “bonus” or a competitive advantage, it’s the bare minimum. That’s how you actually master the sale.

Marketing is just your ability to get eyes on your business. If you don’t learn that part, the best garland in the world won’t save you.

I’m curious, out of those three, numbers, social media, or sales and marketing which one have you actually mastered? 👇🏻

We all love a beautiful final setup photo, but let’s talk about the 90% of this job that nobody ever sees. 🤫

It’s the late-night emails, the dozens of quotes we send out every single day, the inventory checks, and the constant learning.

It’s so easy to get caught up in just “the pretty stuff,” but if you want to be a business owner and not just a hobbyist, the real magic happens right here at the desk. 💻✍️

To my fellow balloon entrepreneurs: do not sleep on the “boring” work. The admin, the systems, and the strategy are exactly what turn a fun hobby into a six-figure empire. 🎈

Thinking that work is just going to fall into your lap because you have an Instagram page is the easiest way to never grow. 🫢

Your brain has a default setting called “negativity bias.” It’s designed to find the problem before it ever finds the possibility.

In business, that default setting is expensive. It’s the voice that tells you a ghosted quote means “you’re too expensive” or a slow week means “you’re failing.”

Reframing is the most valuable skill you can learn as a CEO. When you reframe, you stop reacting emotionally and start acting objectively. You stop taking things personally and start looking at data. Reframing is how you protect your peace, your energy, and your bottom line.

I put together a list of the 10 common “lies” we tell ourselves in the balloon industry and exactly how to reframe them to get back to work.

I’ve been avoiding a technical move for my courses since December. Why? Because I let “new” feel like “hard.”

Yesterday, I had a talk with myself. I stopped asking “why is this so difficult?” and started asking “what do I need to learn?”

I followed the steps, stayed patient, and got it done.

If your March goals are on the back burner, remember:
Scrappy action > No action.
Use your past “evidence” (like baking!) to prove you can learn new things.
Stop being your own bottleneck.

What’s the one thing you’re tackling today? Tell me in the comments. 🙂

I heard this recently and it was a great reminder. As small business owners, we often look for external reasons why we aren’t scaling; the economy, the algorithm, the competition.

But …The business only grows as far as the founder is willing to expand their mind. If you aren’t investing in your own growth, your systems, and your leadership, you are the bottleneck. You are the ceiling. 😐

Agree?

I first created these bunny heads a few years ago for Evelyn’s birthday, and they are still one of my favorite designs to look back on!

With Easter coming up, I wanted to share the tutorial again. I recorded the full process step-by-step for my YouTube channel.

If I started WeBalloonz from zero today...

I did it on my own, but I’d do these 3 things differently now:

1. Pay for speed. Find a mentor with the results you want.

2. Retire the Wonder Woman cape. Delegate so you can focus on growth. I have a long list of thing I refuse to do my self. 🫣

3. Sleepless nights..? Not for me anymore
I prioritize 7-8 hours of sleep everyday - this is not medical advice, but I started taking Magnesium at night for deep sleep 😴 it’s a game changer

Which one of these can you start today? I’m answering your questions in the comments! 👇

STOP! 🛑 Read this before you register your business name.

I just saved a student from a massive branding headache. She found a “cute” name, but she didn’t check the Digital Real Estate.
In Balloon Math, your name isn’t just a label—it’s a digital asset. If you don’t own the .com and the exact social handles, you don’t own a brand. You’re just renting space in a crowded room.

1️⃣ The .com Check: Go to GoDaddy. If it’s not available without dashes or weird spellings, keep looking.

2️⃣ Registry Search: Check your national or provincial business registry to ensure the name is legally clear.

3️⃣ Handle Consistency: Can you get the EXACT same handle on IG, TikTok, and FB? If not, you’re leaking leads.

Confused clients don’t book high-ticket jobs. Consistency equals cash. 💸
