Well… the timing could be better! 😂
I’m going to be away from My Little Stand for a couple of weeks just as my dahlias are finally starting to put on their beautiful show. Figures! 🌸
But there’s a very good reason for my little getaway…
If you’ve ever had a conversation with me about cupcakes, you’ll know that I have been dreaming about this for a long time. I’m finally heading to Dorchester, UK, to spend some one-on-one time with Rachel, the person I consider to be the absolute master floral cupcake queen! 🧁👑
Until now, I’ve been completely self-taught. I’m a sponge. I watch every cupcake video that pops up on my newsfeed (and let me tell you… there are lots of them 😂). I study the flowers, the piping techniques, the little details… and then I head into my kitchen and give it a go. But I want to get better. I want to perfect some of my florals, learn new techniques and, quite honestly, soak up everything I possibly can.
So I don’t know if it’s a case of putting it out into the universe… or if my husband is simply sick of hearing me talk about it… but we are FINALLY embarking on a Cupcake Adventure! ✈️🧁
Victoria → Montreal → Paris → London → Amsterdam → London → Dorchester… and eventually back home again, hopefully with a head full of new ideas, a whole lot of inspiration and some new cupcake skills tucked into my apron. We’ll be checking out the floating flower markets in Amsterdam too!!
I can’t wait to learn from Rachel and see what I can bring back to My Little Stand.
So while I’m away, the stand will be taking a little break too. And when I get home… well, let’s just say the cupcakes might be getting a little make-over. 💕🧁
