Lucy and Asha share bits of their CSS and athletic journey and how it has provided them valuable support!
Throughout Asha's time at CSS She feels encouraged to focus on the more challenging aspects of her training, such as strength and speed. Having a strong support system has been helpful in pursuing challenges.
Lucy has enjoyed being surrounded by coaches and athletes who perform at a high level, and she appreciates that she is able to train daily while maintaining her academics.

Eric came to Camosun College with the clear goal of studying Kinesiology and dreaming of wearing a Chargers’ jersey. Sport had always shaped his life.
“I’ve always loved sport and exercise so having the chance to study how the body responds and adapts to training while playing collegiate sport in an incredible facility was super tempting,” says Eric.
Over his five seasons with the , he grew not just as an athlete, but as a leader and teammate balancing early‑morning lifts, late‑night study sessions, cross‑country road trips, and the relentless push to improve. After completing the Kinesiology program as a President’s Trophy winner for earning the highest GPA among all Chargers athletes, Eric is now in the Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) program, and hopes to blend his skills and passions.

Our Canadian Sport School students consistently demonstrate exceptional dedication and discipline, committing to both their athletic training and academics. Today we are highlighting Lachlan, Damian, and Zack.
✨Lachlan Bell
I have been part of the Canadian Sport School for the past two years and currently play volleyball with the Victoria Volleyball Association Chargers Black Team. I bring a high level of focus and consistency to my training, always staying engaged and committed to improving my skills.
✨Damian Orr
I play basketball and am dedicated to continually improving my game through hard work and discipline. I focus on developing my strength and conditioning to improve my performance on the court, build endurance, and stay strong throughout games.
✨Zack Steele
I play right side in volleyball and have been playing for four years, including two years competitively. One of my recent accomplishments is placing 5th at our first Super Series. My biggest goal this season is to hopefully reach the podium at provincials. If I could have any superpower, I would choose flight so I could hit the ball over everyone’s heads.
