NOTICE TO MEMBERS:
This weekends classes (May 30 & 31) will be held in memory of Kawahara Shihan who passed on June 2nd, 2011. We will view some videos and practice techniques as he demonstrated.

Yukio Kawahara Shihan (1940–2011) was a highly respected 8th-degree Aikido master who served as the Technical Director of the Canadian Aikido Federation. His powerful, traditional teaching techniques left a lasting legacy on Canadian martial arts. He moved to Canada in 1975 and relocated to British Columbia in 1977. Though he taught extensively across North America and Europe, he called Victoria home and was surrounded by his students until his passing on June 2, 2011.

We are seeking compatible individuals and groups who would like to rent our bright, clean, well-maintained 1,620 sq. ft. space, suitable for a wide range of movement-based and wellness activities. Whether you teach yoga, lead workshops, or run community programs, the tatami flooring, natural light, and calm atmosphere make this an excellent environment for both individual instructors and small groups.

Studio Features:
1,620 sq. ft. facility with a bright, open layout
1,000 sq. ft. tatami-covered training area
Natural light and a calm, welcoming atmosphere
Two changerooms with privacy curtains
Two clean, well-maintained washrooms
Ample free street parking and easy access

Available on weekdays before 4 pm, and weekends from 1 pm onward. Hourly rates from $35 per hour. Discounts available for Victoria Aikikai members.
