Manitoba Marlins Swim Club

We are extremely excited to announce the hiring of our 2 new coaches for the upcoming season to round out our competitive staff!

Geneson Mendoza is joining us as a Full-time Assistant Head Coach to leading our newly split TAG group, our Manitoba Marlins Masters programming, and supporting club operations. Geneson is one of our provinces most respected teachers, with over 30 years of experience in the sport, and he jointly won the 2024/25 Eric Suthon Grassroots Coach of the Year with coach Bret. Geneson brings a huge smile, and amazing toolset to continue our growth forward towards our club and swimmers performance objectives.

Elizabeth Gendron is joining us as our new Lead Coach for our Super Squad programming. Elizabeth has a lifelong passion for swim, with over a decade of teaching experience stretching across Manitoba and Ontario. Her energy for the sport is contagious, and we cannot wait to have her inspire the next generation of competitive swimmers in our program!

We are feeling very organized, and we hope you will feel so too! We have sent all of our move up notifications for competitive, please check your inbox for your swimmers personalized registration package.

Over the past weekend 5 of our NAT swimmers had the opportunity to take part in the 61st Mel Zajac International at UBC!

Eva Mearns achieved her AA times in 50 fly tonight!

Jeremy Schmidt, Gabriel Ocana-Cano, and Samuel Fisher all achieved their AA times in 50 fr!

We would like to congratulate Ewan Chaze, and Claire Burns on achieving their first AA times last night!

We would also like to give a special shout out to Rhett Cowan on his first A time becoming our youngest qualifier at just 7 years old!
