2025-2026 SEASON RECAP - CURLING MOMS EDITION

A season for the record books, and not because of the winning percentage, or the hammer efficiency or the number of events played in.

We traveled with a minimum of 8 adults and 4 babies to every single event
We all breastfed/pumped throughout the entire season, including in between back-to-back games
We rented two minivans for our travels and there still wasn’t enough room for all our gear
Thousands of diapers changed
Countless sleepless nights
Hundreds of bottles and pump-parts washed
So many matching outfits purchased

The village was extra large this season, and it was amazing experiencing it all together.

We had a great afternoon with showing them the ropes at .ca today!

🥌 A Rare Last‑Minute Opportunity — Come Learn to Curl with Team Calvert! 🥌

We’ve got exciting news, AMCC’s own Scotties Tournament of Hearts representatives, Team Calvert, have opened up their private Learn-to-curl event to AMCC members and the public — and it’s happening today!

If you’ve ever wanted to try curling or sharpen your skills, this is your chance to learn from one of the top women’s teams in the province. They didn’t have to share this ice time… but they chose to — and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome everyone in.

✨ What to Expect:
• On‑ice instruction from Team Calvert
• A friendly, supportive environment for all ages and abilities
• All equipment provided - bring clean indoor shoes (or bring your own equipment)

We’re excited to announce that Team Peterson is sticking together for next season, but with a minor rebrand to Team Calvert after our mid-season lineup change last year. We can’t wait to build on our success from this season, and see what more we can accomplish!

Now, if you happen to know of any babysitters, we are opening our DMs to applications. Some of the grandparents may actually want to take in some curling action next season 😂

Well that was a tough Friday at the office. Both of those losses sting, and will stick with us for a while.

That being said, we are so proud of the week we put together. We feel so grateful to have represented our province and to have worn the buffalo all week. This was an experience of a lifetime, and we are holding our heads high knowing that we put it all out there this week.

Having our family with us every step of the way was so special, and we are beyond thankful for them as they took care of our kids and babies.

With a 7-5 win over Team Alberta (Sturmay), we have finished at the top of our pool. This puts us in the 1v2 qualifier game vs. Team Canada tomorrow at 1PM EST.
