Today, Tennis Manitoba was proud to host a Girls. Set. Match. session at the ATP National Bank Winnipeg Challenger courts.

Led by Tennis Manitoba Game. Set. Equity. Ambassador Amber Schneider, the participants enjoyed a session of team tennis, skill development, and empowerment in a fun and supportive environment.

A special thank you to ATP Challenger player Joshua Sheehy for taking the time to join the group, share his experiences and inspire the next generation of players.

Girls. Set. Match. is part of Tennis Canada’s Empowerment Pathway, combining on-court tennis with leadership and confidence-building activities. Through team play, meaningful conversations, and new friendships, the program helps participants grow both on and off the court.

🎾 Tennis Manitoba is excited to support The Ladder Cup by TEPP, an innovative new tournament that offers players of all levels more matches, meaningful competition, and a unique pathway to progress their game.

📍 Deer Lodge Tennis Club

The Ladder Cup features a live ladder-style format where players compete against others of a similar level while earning opportunities to move up to the next division based on their results.

What makes The Ladder Cup unique?
• Minimum of two matches guaranteed
• Competitive matches at your current skill level
• Opportunity to advance through divisions
• A fun and challenging pathway for player development

Suggested divisions based on WTN:

🎾 Division 5 – Beginners (WTN < 2.5)
🎾 Division 4 – Intermediate (WTN 2.5–3.5)
🎾 Division 3 – Advanced (WTN 3.5–4.5)
🏆 Open Division – Experts (WTN 4.5+)

Development division semifinalists can earn prizes, future tournament credits, and wild card entries into the next division, while the Open Division will compete for cash prizes with a total prize pool of up to $3,000. 💰
