As new Executive Director, it was my pleasure to represent SWCC at this ground breaking event.

Hello Friends and Neighbours,

Please join us in welcoming Arthur Pearson as the new Executive Director of South Winnipeg Community Centre!

Arthur is no stranger to community centres. He previously worked at Waverley Heights Community Centre from 2009 to 2021, now known as South Winnipeg Community Centre’s Waverley Site.

For the past five years, Arthur has been with the General Council of Winnipeg Community Centre's, where he continued supporting and strengthening community centres across Winnipeg.

Arthur brings a strong understanding of recreation, community programming, facility operations, and the important role community centres play in bringing people together.

We are excited to have Arthur joining the SWCC team and look forward to the leadership, experience, and positive energy he brings as we continue to grow and serve our community.

South Winnipeg Community Centre is proud to be a place where families connect, kids grow, and community happens every day. We are excited for this next chapter and look forward to continuing to build a strong, welcoming, and active community together.

Creative Belly Dance is Back for Spring!

Join us every Thursday from 6:30–7:30PM for a fun, welcoming class open to all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re trying something new or getting back into dance, it’s a great way to move, learn, and have fun!

Looking to improve flexibility, mobility, and overall well-being in a calm and supportive environment? Our Restorative Yoga class is a great way to stay active while moving at your own pace.

This gentle class focuses on comfortable, supported movements that help ease stiffness, improve range of motion, and promote relaxation. No prior yoga experience needed.
