Saturday, November 7. Dakota CC Fieldhouse, 1188 Dakota St, Winnipeg.

One day. Adults and kids under the same roof, every belt, every weight class — nobody sits a weekend out waiting for their turn.

A bracket doesn't care how training went this month. That's the point of entering one.

Saturday, November 7. Dakota CC Fieldhouse, Winnipeg. One day — adults and kids, every belt, every weight class. Gi and no-gi, and the second style is free.

Early bird runs until September 30 at $110. After that it goes to $125, then $150 in the last week.

One more thing, and it matters more than the price: the MCSC will not let an unlicensed athlete compete. Sort your licence now, not in November.

Never competed? Here's exactly how a tournament day goes. No mystery.

You weigh in. You get your bracket — matched by belt, age, and weight, so it's fair. You compete: a few matches, back to back. Then you're done.

That's the whole thing. The hardest part is signing up. Everything after it is just jiu-jitsu — the same thing you do in the gym, with a medal on the line.
