Wesmen on the international stage.

head coach will be on the coaching staff of Volleyball Canada’s senior men’s team that will compete in the Volleyball Nations League, June 4-10 in Ottawa.

And has been selected on the pre-tournament long roster to try and make the team for the prestigious international event.

Wesmen Athletics mourns today the passing of our former men’s basketball assistant coach, Jeff Kovalik-Plouffe.

Jeff joined our staff in 2022 and served loyally to the program and our student-athletes while waging a tremendous battle with significant health challenges, which he fought with every ounce of will and determination he could summon.

Jeff was an immensely valuable member of our coaching staff and we will remember him for his unending loyalty, infectious sense of humour and unconditional dedication to the Wesmen.

JKP, in so many ways you were 1 of 1, and we will hold you in our memories for years to come.

The Wesmen Family extends its sincerest condolences to Jeff’s family, friends and the many, many others who were impacted by his resounding presence in their lives.

Congratulations to head coach Mike Raimbault who made his pro coaching debut today and guided the Winnipeg Sea Bears to a CEBL season-opening win over Edmonton.

Wesmen Athletics and are excited to officially announce the commitment of setter in the 2026 recruiting class.

Tyra played two seasons with the ACC Cougars and last season was named the MCAC player of the year in leading ACC to the program’s first conference title and first nationals berth in program history.
