LIVE RACING UPDATE

In recognition of the temperature conditions, Assiniboia Downs has made the decision to voluntarily delay the start of tonight’s racing program until 8:30 p.m.

We are aware of the forecasted temperatures for today and want to assure everyone that the safety and well-being of the horses is our top priority.

The expected temperature is within the guidelines outlined by the LGCA and the regulatory veterinarians.

We look forward to a fun and safe evening of horse racing at Assiniboia Downs!

Apprentice jockey Ciera Pruitt was the star of the show this week at Assiniboia Downs, winning four races including the $40,000 Frank Arnason Sire Stakes, while former Hastings Park jockey Kerron Khelawan continued to climb in the standings with the ride of the week aboard longshot Pay My Way for trainer Charlene Miller.

It was an action-packed week at ASD with five stakes and the incredibly popular wiener dog races, which brought thousands of new fans to the Downs.
