Frosty Blue capped a monster ASD Jackpot Pick 5 on Monday, Dontgiveupthefight showed her class in the Manitoba Matron on Tuesday, Elston Gunnn dug deep to win the Gold Cup on Wednesday, and the wiener dogs delivered fun in the mud for their fans during a rainy week at the Downs.

Forever Young delivers as the heavy favorite in the $1 million Jockey Club Gold Cup Stakes (G1) Sept. 18 at Belmont Park, comfortably winning the race in advance of an intended start in the $7 million Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) Oct. 31 at Keeneland.

Congratulations to Canadian Derby winner and Manitoba Derby runner-up Quarry and his connections, ASD leading trainer Jerry Gourneau and ASD leading owner Henry S. Witt, Jr. on winning Saturday’s $250,000 Super Derby! Great accomplishment!

Quarry is used to winning. The Super Derby was his second consecutive stakes win and was preceded by the Grade 3 Canadian Derby at Century Mile in Alberta on Aug. 22.
