Might I chip in one last thing… ZERO PIM’s this season. For a D that plays at her pace and makes ZERO mistakes! Unbelievable talent!

🏒 MFHL Awards | Top Defenceman

The 2025–26 MFHL Top Defenceman Award is presented to Brylee Mateychuk of the Eastman Selects.

In her first season in the league, Brylee made an immediate and lasting impact from the blue line. A strong skater with excellent awareness, she consistently shuts down opponents with confident gap control while also being a key contributor to her team’s breakout and transition game.

Offensively, Brylee is just as dangerous. She uses her mobility and puck control to create space, generate scoring opportunities, and get shots through from the back end, finishing the season with 24 points.

Logging significant minutes in all situations, Brylee is relied upon night after night and delivers with consistency, composure, and maturity well beyond her years. Remarkably, she did not record a single penalty minute all season, a testament to how effectively and cleanly she plays the game.

A complete defenceman who plays the game the right way, Brylee has quickly established herself as one of the league’s most impactful players.

Calleigh has been one of the top goalies all season. The major from the Parkland region has had to find her way into the the league. This season dealing with changing teams in order to secure her place.

The 2025–26 MFHL Top Goalie Award is presented to Calleigh Duchart of the Central Plains Capitals.

Calleigh was a steady and reliable presence in goal all season long, consistently giving her team a chance to win. Facing a high volume of shots night after night, she rose to the challenge and delivered outstanding performances throughout the year.

She finished the season with a league-leading .936 save percentage, while also ranking among the league leaders in games played, wins, and total saves. Her ability to stay composed under pressure and make timely saves set her apart.

Beyond the numbers, Calleigh brings a positive and uplifting presence to her team. Whether making a big save or bouncing back after a goal, she leads with confidence, resilience, and a team-first mindset.

A true backbone for the Capitals this season.

Abbey is a great kid and imo has really turned her hockey play up this year.

The 2025–26 MFHL Most Sportsmanlike Player Award is presented to Abbey Oliver of the Westman Wildcats.

Abbey has been a steady and dependable presence for the Wildcats all season long, trusted in key moments and consistently delivering when her team needs her most. Despite playing significant minutes, she finished the season with just four penalty minutes, a testament to the discipline and composure she brings to the game.

Abbey also made an impact offensively, finishing top 15 in league scoring, while continuing to play a responsible game in all three zones.

A great teammate and a respectful competitor, Abbey represents the game with integrity and fairness.

🏒 MFHL Awards | Community Award

The 2025–26 MFHL Community Award is presented to Lily Wells of the Westman Wildcats.

An honour roll student and assistant captain for the Wildcats, Lily has balanced academic success with strong performance on the ice, finishing the season among the top six point leaders in the league.

Off the ice, Lily’s impact in her community is just as impressive. She has volunteered as a skating leader with the Deloraine CanSkate program for the past three winters and has also spent time helping with youth day camps through her school’s leadership program. Whether assisting younger players at the rink, helping in her mom’s classroom, or visiting residents at the local personal care home, Lily consistently looks for ways to give back.

Lily is a positive role model who represents the values of leadership, dedication, and community involvement that this award celebrates.

Congratulations Lily! 👏
