The Red Sea is famous for some of the healthiest and most colorful coral reefs in the world 🌊🪸
The corals in these photos are a mix of soft and hard corals, both playing an important role in the reef ecosystem. The large orange “fan” corals grow in areas with stronger currents and use the water flow to catch nutrients. The hard corals create the structure of the reef itself, providing shelter for hundreds of species of fish and marine life.
Coral reefs are not only beautiful — they also protect coastlines, support marine biodiversity, and are home to nearly 25% of all marine species.
That’s why responsible diving matters:
