🌟 Celebrating Pupil Success! 🌟

Congratulations to Norah and Hollie on their fantastic success at the Irish Dancing competition held in the Armagh City Hotel last weekend.

Both girls, who dance for Murray Dance Academy, were all smiles as they proudly showed off their trophies and medals during assembly this week.

🏆 Norah achieved 1st place in the Single Jig and 3rd place in the Trophy Dance.

🏆 Hollie achieved an excellent 4th place in her Heavy Jig.

We are incredibly proud of both girls and all the hard work, dedication and commitment they put into their dancing. Well done, Norah and Hollie! 👏⭐💃

What a year of dancing!! So proud of you all!

What an absolutely unforgettable day for our very first feis, Feis Ard Mhacha 2026!
To say we are proud is a massive understatement. Hosting our first feis was a huge milestone and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who travelled from far and wide to support us!
With over 450 entries—including one of the largest tiny tots sections I have ever seen 85 little stars with the youngest dancer only 1 year old! And best of all…we finished ON TIME! 🥳🎉

A massive thank you to our fantastic adjudicating panel who never stopped all day and powered through some incredible numbers: Aisling Keogh, Shane Cummins, and Don McCarron. It was an absolute honour to have you judge our inaugural feis. Thank you for your wisdom, guidance and positivity throughout the day!

To our amazing musician Ronan Wadsworth thank you for keeping the fantastic tunes going from start to finish!

To my family… from my mum, dad, siblings, aunties, uncles, Michael McVerry… everyone got stuck in. I was so proud to show you all a glimpse of the dance world and to have you there to see it. I am so lucky to have your support in everything we do! Thank you James & Gary from Murlan House for the incredible decor. You transformed the halls into a world-class venue—you never cease to amaze me! Thank you to my Dad for running the kitchen, keeping everyone in the hall fed & watered all day!

Thank you Leanne Nelson for running the stage and being there for all of my questions and worries. I am so delighted we pulled it off! Thank you Clare Conlon for running the tiny tots ❤️ True friendship showing up whenever I need you. Thank you to Tanya Catterson,Nadine Doherty & Tegan Mc Conomy for travelling all the way down to Armagh and helping to run the stages with us. You truly are our dance family for life!

To our own wonderful class parents and dancers: your teamwork, energy and help throughout the day were unmatched. Whether it was the kitchen, the entry desk, the car park or the results room… no matter what the task, you were all happy to jump right in. We truly could not have done this without our incredible dance family!

Thank you to all of my teaching colleagues for supporting our first feis. Sending out the syllabus, we were full of apprehension… would anyone turn up?! But you all supported the feis in incredible numbers! Thank you!
