Securing the Place Universal Offer and what it means for Buckinghamshire π€
This investment will initially focus on Aylesbury South-West π , where levels of inactivity remain high and wider challenges such a deprivation and access to safe and welcoming spaces continue to shape peopleβs ability to be active.
In Aylesbury South-West only 44.9% of children and young people in the area are currently active, and levels of deprivation and low-income households are significantly higher than the county average.
This investment will support partners and communities to work together to address the wider systems that shape activity, from access to green spaces and safe routes, to transport, housing and local environments.
By starting here, we have the opportunity too:
- Work closely with communities to understand what matters most π
- Test and learn what works π
- Build stronger, more connected systems across partners π€
- Create insight that can shape future work across Bucks. π
Crucially, learning from this work will be shared across Buckinghamshire to support wider, longβterm change. Find out how this work will support communityβled change (linked in comments)
