🏆🇬🇷🇬🇧BRITISH ARMY VETERAN DANNY HUMPHRIES IS THE ATHENS DARTS MASTERS CHAMPION! 🎯🇬🇧 🇬🇷

And he’s done it in style!

Defence Darts player Danny Humphries has just won the Athens Darts Masters, defeating Antonis Lampropoulos 5–1 in the final with an impressive 85.72 three dart average! 👏

What a year 2026 is turning out to be for Danny!

🏆 WDF Cyprus Masters Champion
🎯 WDF World Open Quarter Finalist, Las Vegas
🏆 Athens Darts Masters Champion

Danny Humphries has been part of our Defence Darts journey for several years, qualifying for both Operation Bullseye I and II.

Earlier this year, he also earned the Veterans’ qualifying place to represent Defence Darts at the WDF World Masters in Las Vegas.

To see one of our veterans continuing to achieve success on the international stage is absolutely fantastic.

Defence Darts is about creating opportunities for our serving personnel and veterans to compete, develop and represent their community, and Danny is a brilliant example of what can be achieved.

We couldn’t be more proud of you!

Congratulations on another fantastic achievement. Keep doing what you’re doing and flying the flag for our Armed Forces and veteran community! 🇬🇧🎯

WELL DONE DANNY! 🏆👏

🎯 FROM OPERATION BULLSEYE TO PHUKET, THAILAND! 🇬🇧🇹🇭

Sometimes the biggest impact of an event isn’t what happens on the night, but the friendships and connections that continue long after it.

Back in 2023, at our very first Operation Bullseye, Army veteran Carl Webb was one of our military qualifiers, while Filipino professional Christian Perez was among the professionals who joined us to support the event.

Christian certainly left his mark that evening, and we’ll always remember him literally giving us the shirt off his back to be auctioned for charity!

Fast forward three years and those connections are still going strong, this time over 6,000 miles away in Phuket, Thailand! 🇹🇭

Christian recently travelled to Phuket to support Carl as he prepares to launch his own darts business, with ambitions to help develop and grow the sport in Thailand.

Carl, a former Royal Green Jackets Sergeant, has remained a valued member of our Defence Darts Community, qualifying for both Operation Bullseye I and II and continuing to represent the community through his darts adventures overseas.

Meanwhile, Christian, who represents Robson Sportscraft, has continued to make his mark on the international darts scene. Having previously competed on the PDC ProTour, he has now qualified for the PDC World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace this December through the Asian Tour! 🎯

A fantastic achievement and another opportunity to see someone who was part of our very first Operation Bullseye competing on the world stage.

It’s brilliant to see them reunited and continuing to support one another.

This is exactly what Defence Darts is about.

We bring serving personnel, veterans and professional players together through sport, but what develops beyond the oche can be just as important.

Friendships, opportunities, connections and a sense of belonging that don’t end when the final dart is thrown.

What started as a charity darts event in 2023 has created relationships that continue to cross borders and open doors years later.

Wishing Carl every success with his exciting plans in Thailand and Christian the very best at Ally Pally in December.

🎯 HE’S ONE OF OUR OWN!! 💪🏼

A massive shoutout to Alan ‘Soots’ Soutar, who’s out in Switzerland competing on the European Tour this weekend! 🇨🇭🎯

For those who don’t know, Soots is a veteran who has gone on to become a professional darts player, and he’s been a fantastic supporter of Defence Darts.

But just look at what he’s wearing while getting some practice in ahead of the competition!! 👀

The Operation Bullseye II shirt!! 😍👏

Absolutely love seeing that! ❤️

It’s brilliant having someone competing at this level who hasn’t forgotten his military roots and continues to show his support for our community.

Good luck out there, Alan Soutar! The whole Defence Darts Community is behind you!! 💪🏼🎯

🎯 DEFENCE DARTS HEADING TO THE DEPLOY DARTS CUP! 🎯

A huge thank you to Paul and the team at Deploy Recruitment Group, who have kindly donated 5 FREE tickets for members of the Defence Darts Community to attend this year’s Deploy Darts Cup, along with one place to compete in the tournament! 👏

With the event taking place just around the corner from the Tower of London, we thought who better to represent us than one of our very own community members who has swapped his military uniform for that of a Beefeater!

💂‍♂️ Former Paratrooper, now Yeoman Warder 426, better known on the oche as ‘The Tungsten Tickler’, will be flying the Defence Darts flag! 🎯

He’ll be competing alongside people from across industry, with some familiar faces from the professional darts circuit also attending, including:

🎯 Nathan Aspinall
🎯 Chris Dobey
🎤 Michael Bridge
🎤 Paul Starr

📅 Thursday 15 October 2026
📍 Moretown Belle, London

The evening is all about bringing people together through darts while raising funds for two fantastic charities:

❤️ The Lighthouse Charity
❤️ Teens Unite Fighting Cancer

Another brilliant opportunity for our community members to enjoy an evening of darts, meet some of the world’s top players and support some great causes along the way.

A massive thank you again to Paul and everyone at Deploy for including Defence Darts and making these opportunities available to our members.

Good luck to Lee Fox AKA The Tungsten Tickler! 💂‍♂️🎯

Great line up!! Well done to all who’s qualified 👏

Good luck to all on the night, we are all looking forward to seeing who comes out on top! 🎯

Will Capt Jasper Scarrott retain the title? Will the Op Bullseye Champ Cpl Daz Mac claim this victory too? Will Las Vegas World Masters qualifier Pte Brett Morgan-Williams take the trophy? Or will is be a new name making it to the top spot??!!

Team Forces is proud to support Defence Darts with a grant, helping create opportunities for serving personnel and veterans to come together through sport, competition, and shared experience.

Darts is a great example of how sport can bring people together - developing confidence, connection and camaraderie while providing an accessible way to compete and be part of a team.

We're delighted to play our part in helping Defence Darts grow its reach and create more opportunities across the Armed Forces community.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making the programme happen, and to the Team Forces sponsors whose support through our Good Causes Fund helps us continue enabling activities like this.
