DREAM TEAM

Congratulation’s to Megan and Alanah on making this weeks dream team.

Megan has been working hard in the gym over the summer and we are really starting to see the impact of that on the pitch with Megan scoring 3 great tries and competing powerfully in the rucks. An all round excellent performance from an ever improving player. Well done Megan 💪

It’s not often that a player is picked for dream team on their debut but Alanah’s performance at the weekend made her the obvious choice. Against what was a powerful Oban team, Alanah’s tackling was outstanding, especially considering it was her 1st ever competitive game of rugby. She also worked hard in attack, carrying the ball well whenever in possession. An excellent debut from a player who will no doubt continue to improve. Well done Alanah 💪

Our U16s made the short trip to Carrick this weekend for a league game. Sadly Carrick had to conceed the fixture due to player numbers but that didnt stop the girls from playing rugby, with a development game played. The girls had a lot of fun and it was great to see some of our newer players getting more game time, with a special shoutout to Sophie who made her debut in the Pink and Black.
Thanks to Carrick for their hospitality and for making it such a fun day.
The girls now head into their October break but return to league business on Sunday 25th Oct with a home tie against Biggar.

Our U14s made the long trip up to Oban this weekend for their next game in the Challenge Series.
The girls played in challenging conditions against a much bigger and stronger Oban team but not once did they let their heads go down. Our girls kept making tackles, working hard at the rucks and running direct lines with the ball.
The result didnt go their way with Oban winning 54-12 but there was a lot for our girls to be proud of with their performance.
Thanks to Oban for being brilliant hosts and to the match referee who was excellent with the girls.
