These workshops look great and I'm going to make sure I attend one of them!

Traditional slate fencing is part of the cultural heritage in North Wales. Plus these fences are just beautiful ❤️

Together with Kehoe Countryside Ltd, we're running a couple of Introduction to Slate Fencing workshops 🛠️

What a lovely thank-you from Tom Furey Memorial Trust 😍

It was a pleasure to run the nature connection session at the Furey Festival last year, and I'm so excited about the 2026 edition in October 💖

Do you spot anyone you know? Hint, hint 😉😂

Here's the first of the Wales Nature Week events that are coming up in July! It'll be a fabulous day with storyteller Fiona Collins, who is not just the most warm-hearted and lovely person, but a powerful and entertaining storyteller. You and your kids will love it, I promise!

I had a poke around the lovely Gwern Gof Isaf Farm and Campsite last week to see if it's suitable for running nature connection and storytelling events. And is it suitable? Yes!!! It's a great location - stunning views of Tryfan and the Carneddau, peaceful hidden corners, toilets, parking, and of course yummy treats from The secret coffi shop!

Meeting the farmers, Henry and Hannah, was a delight. We're so much on the same wavelength in terms of nature, Welsh culture, and storytelling, and I'm excited about their plans for the big barn. Can't wait to plan some fabby

And how about this photo of Tryfan? It was rainy and cloudy, and all of a sudden, the sun just lit up its flank. The photo doesn't quite do it justice...

Busy but brilliant week with 36 intrepid students doing their DofE Gold training. They didn't let rain and wind stop them from having a fabulous adventure and learning new skills. Definite highlight of the week was going up Moel Siabod, where we made liberal use of group shelters 😅

Great to work with Nick and Ben - thanks for some great pics, Nick!

A day of geology with a difference last week - this one was all in Welsh!! I was so pleased to have understood most of it 🤩

Huge thanks to Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri - Eryri National Park warden Rhys for an absorbing and well-delivered session. I hope to join you on the final sessions!

A wonderful day on Y Garn with a speedy and friendly group today, working with the incredible team at Pen Y Bryn Outdoor Learning CIC and lovely fellow ML Alex. The weather treated us kindly, with patches of sunshine, and Pen y Bryn laid on bevvies and cake once we were back at Gwern Gof Isaf - thank you Rachael and Chris 🤗😍

This is a special time of year to be in the hills - more and more lovely things are starting to bloom on the slopes. Today we clocked what I think is some wood anemones 💮
