🏅🌟 Another couple of superstars smashing their Distance Badges with our Crash Course! 🌟🏅

One of the biggest benefits of our crash courses is the consistency that comes with swimming several days in a row. Confidence grows, skills develop faster and those little milestones can turn into some pretty amazing achievements! 💙🏊‍♀️

A huge well done to these two for achieving their 5 metre and 50 metre badges during May's Crash Courses, we couldn't be prouder of you! 👏✨

This week at DCY Swim School, our focus is Breaststroke! 🏊‍♀️

Our swimmers will be working on breaststroke technique, including body position, kick, timing and coordination, helping them to develop a strong and efficient stroke.

For our more advanced swimmers, lessons will focus on competitive breaststroke, refining technique and improving efficiency within the stroke.

We look forward to seeing everyone’s progress throughout the week! 💙🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

Unfortunately, we’ve made a simple mistake that has caused an issue this morning. 😭

Yesterday, we left our top-up hose running in the pool. Due to a busy day, it was accidentally not turned off before we left. As a result, we’ve arrived this morning to an overflowing pool, a flooded plant room, and a very soggy carpet!

We’re currently working to rectify the situation, which means today’s lessons will unfortunately not be able to go ahead.

We can only apologise for the inconvenience. We’re absolutely kicking ourselves over this and are definitely feeling the consequences of our mistake, but unfortunately we’re only human and sometimes things get missed.

Crash course bookings now open! Our summer crash course weeks are w/c 27th July, 3rd August and 10th August as follows:

• Complete beginners

📌 A few important reminders:

• During the Bank Holiday week, our usual bank holiday closure will remain in place.

• Ladies Only Swims will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am–10:45am only. There will be no 10:45am session during these weeks.

• All existing group lessons remain unchanged.

• Saturday and Sunday lessons remain unchanged.

• There will be no crash courses during the week commencing 20th July.

• There will be no timetable changes during the week commencing 17th August.

Hi all,

We have some sad news to share.

Miss Katie will no longer be teaching set Saturday lessons at DCY Swim School. As many of you know, she also works as a college tutor Monday–Friday and occasionally Saturdays, as well as being a busy mum, and these commitments have made it difficult for her to continue.

We want to thank Miss Katie for all her hard work and dedication to the swimmers during her time with us.

Bryony, who has been covering most Saturdays recently, will now be permanently taking over Saturday lessons.

Miss Katie will still be happy to cover occasional lessons for holidays/sickness, so you may still see her from time to time.

Miss Bryony isn’t well and her face has drooped from sinusitis (she looks scary 🙈🤣) and her rubbish immune system isn’t doing too cracking recently so our AMAZING Miss Kyra will be teaching tomorrow lessons.

We're looking for a Swimming Teacher Assistant to join us on Saturdays and Sundays.

You don't necessarily need to have a swimming teacher qualification already but if you're passionate about helping children, eager to learn and committed to being part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.

For the right person, we're more than happy to support you through gaining your swimming teacher qualifications and help you develop your skills along the way. 🏊‍♀️💙
