Who’s up for a little Halloween fun at DCY? 🎃👻

We’re thinking about hosting a small, ticketed Halloween party with pool games, some fun out of the water and cakes and treats!

Before we get planning, we’d love to know who would be interested and which date would suit your family best 🩵

🎃 Halloween afternoon — Saturday 31st October, around 3–5pm, leaving time for trick-or-treating afterwards!

OR

👻 Another date towards the end of October.

Let us know your preferred option in the comments and how many children you’d be interested in booking for. If you’d prefer another date, tell us which one!

Spaces would be limited, with full details and ticket prices shared once we’ve confirmed the plans.

😔 Update – Tonight’s Swimming Lessons

We are so sorry, but unfortunately we have had to cancel tonight’s lessons as we haven’t been able to find a cover teacher.

Bryony is currently undergoing egg-freezing treatment ahead of her upcoming operation, during which her ovaries will also be removed. She’s unfortunately having a little blip with the treatment, and we’re awaiting a call from the hospital to find out whether she needs to be seen to but it is in Sheffield.

We are so, so sorry for the short notice but this has just happened only an hour ago! We feel absolutely awful having to cancel and would never do so unless we had no other option.

Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support during what is a really difficult time for us. ❤️

🩵 A LITTLE SUNDAY SHOUT-OUT… 🩵

We wanted to take a moment today to give a proper shout-out and a HUGE thank you to R3FLEKT CLOTHING & BRANDING, especially to Jak and his family. 🥰

Jak and his family are already very much part of our DCY community, having brought their kiddies to swim with us for quite a few years now, which makes their support of our Stronger Together campaign even more special. 🩵

When they heard what we were putting together for Bryony, they were incredibly generous in working with us on the T-shirts and hoodies and helping us keep the printing costs down. That means we can make sure as much as possible from every order goes towards supporting Bryony, DCY and our community and we honestly can’t thank them enough.

It’s another example of exactly what Stronger Together is all about. Our DCY families aren’t just people who walk through the doors for swimming lessons each week, there’s a real community behind this little swim school and over the last few weeks we’ve seen that more than ever. 🥹🩵

💙 Every little bit of support makes a difference 💙

We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the love and support shown for our beautiful Miss Bryony following the launch of our Stronger Together T-shirts and hoodies. Thank you so, so much! 🥹💙

We’ve also had a few people asking if there’s a way they can contribute without purchasing a T-shirt or hoodie, so we wanted to share Bryony’s GoFundMe page.

As many of you know, Bryony is facing another incredibly difficult chapter in her cancer journey, with major surgery ahead and so much uncertainty surrounding her treatment and recovery.

Alongside everything she’s going through personally, there are also the financial pressures of travelling for treatment, accommodation, time away from work and keeping our little swim school running during any necessary closures.

We know times are tough for everyone, and we would never want anyone to feel pressured to donate. But if you would like to help, even £1 or £2 would be so gratefully received. Every little bit really does add up. 💙

Our Stronger Together T-shirts & hoodies are officially available to pre-order! 🙌

We’ve tried to make ordering as simple as possible. Just click the link below, choose your garments, colours and sizes, and the form will automatically total your order for you.

Ordering more than one item?
If you want multiples of the same colour and size, simply change the quantity.

If you’re ordering different colours or sizes – for example, one black age 2–3 T-shirt and one pink age 7–8 T-shirt – simply use the next T-shirt option on the form for your second item. The same applies to hoodies and adult sizes. 🩵

We need all orders submitted by 22nd October so we can get the full order over to the printers and give them plenty of time to get everything printed and back to us.

We’re really hoping to have everyone’s T-shirts and hoodies ready before Bryony goes in for her operation on 9th November, so our DCY family can be wearing their Stronger Together merch and showing their support. 🥹🩵

Once pre-orders close, we’ll place one big bulk order for everyone together. Everything will then be delivered to DCY Swim School ready for collection, with payment made on collection. Ordering this way also helps us avoid unnecessary individual delivery costs.

The response since we first shared the Stronger Together idea has genuinely overwhelmed me, Bryony and the whole DCY team. The comments, messages, offers of help and the number of you who have already said you want to order and get behind us has been incredible. 🥹

When one of our own is going through an incredibly difficult time, this community rallies around them. Our swimmers, parents, families, friends and everyone connected to DCY have shown Bryony and the team so much love and support and we honestly can’t thank you enough.

Hi everyone! Miss Charlie will be teaching tonight’s swimming lessons while Miss Bryony and Josh are in Manchester for Bryony’s pre-op appointments and tests. 💜

Depending on timings (and Manchester traffic! 🤞), Bryony and Josh may be back in time to join Charlie and assist with some of the sessions, but Charlie will be there and lessons will be running as normal. 🏊‍♀️✨

Thank you as always for your understanding and continued support, we know Charlie will do a fab job! 💜

⚠️ LESSONS CANCELLED TONIGHT

All is well we are just going to be at an appointment later than expected!

Unfortunately, we’ve had to cancel this evening’s swimming lessons. We’re really sorry for the short notice and for any inconvenience this may cause our families.

The good news is we’ll be back open tomorrow, with lessons running as normal. 🏊‍♀️💦
