I am unbelievably proud of this group!
We set this target rather ambitiously, thinking it may be too much of an ask for our first fundraiser. But the lads got it done!
This entire adventure has been incredible, the planning and ideas, the activities and events and of course - the 3 peak themselves.

A massive thank you to all those that supported us, either through donations, fundraising themselves or sharing and talking about this fundraiser. The financial side of this is a huge achievement we are incredibly grateful for and all will be going to SANDS to support bereaved families and save babies lives.

The awareness is a whole different dynamic to this fundraiser, we’ve been out in the public talking about SANDS - either by flyers in windows, companies posting in internal comms, magazines, social media, community days, SANDS at Carfest etc - all to bring awareness regarding baby loss and allowing people an opportunity to speak about their own loss.

Maybe one day soon we will think of another big fundraiser for SANDS, but for now, I think the lads deserve a well earned rest 🫶

A special mention to all those precious angels that were with us on this journey, truly being the drive for our lads, as we were doing everything within our power to make them and our families proud.

Swindon and Devizes Sands Community Red Carpet Glam Charity Ball 🤩

What an incredible evening! My wife and I had a fantastic time attending this special event, catching up with familiar faces and meeting some amazing new people ❤️

A night full of entertainment, fundraising, laughter, conversation, and some truly moving stories shared by incredibly strong families ❤️‍🩹

A beautiful reminder of the power of this community, coming together to remember our angels and support families through their toughest times 🫶

Huge congratulations to Sands Utd South Yorkshire and Sands United FC Basingstoke who have been named as winners of separate Make a Difference Awards in the ‘Active’ category 🏆

And a big well done to Sands United FC Nottingham who received a ‘Highly Commended’ award and Sands United FC Ashby who were shortlisted as a finalist in the same category.

💬 Sands United Programme Lead, Craig Spivey said:

"It's amazing that four of our Sands United teams were nominated for Make a Difference Awards.

"This shows the true impact Sands United teams have in their local communities and is a recognition of the work that goes into running the teams from our dedicated volunteers."

A final post regarding the make a difference award 🙏

Firstly and most importantly, a massive thank you to Fran (right) & my incredible wife Catherine (left) who attended the awards night on my behalf. I’m so pleased they had a lot of fun and getting some well deserved ladies time!

I was called to see if I was free to talk to BBC Berkshire radio regarding the 3 peaks and the award. Little did I know it was a live radio interview 😬
Thankfully, super professional, and no bad language from me! But another privilege to speak about these incredible lads, and represent SANDS, SANDS United and all our little angels 🧡💙
