Otters Swim School

Otters Swim School Otters Swim School offers swimming lessons for children. The experienced teaching team is made up of Alison King, Karen White, Michelle Harris and Jo Brigley.

We are a friendly swim school holding lessons at Stonar School near Melksham and at the Azimghur Barracks in Colerne. We also offer intensive lessons during all the school half terms and holidays and we offer 1:1 lessons too. These intensive and individual lessons are great at speeding up the Childs progress with their swimming skills and their confidence around water. All experienced Level 2 swim teachers. We strive to provide the safest environment for your children to become confident in the water and learn to enjoy swimming, learning all the skills required including life saving and personal survial. Our family approach allows parents to watch poolside, encouraging their children every step of the way! We teach children from 3yrs and will take all abilities from non swimmers through to intermediate and advanced. Each child will have the appropriate time spent on them as we want every child to improve to the best of their ability. We will move them up through the different levels when we feel they are ready and once a term we will do distance test so the children can achieve a badge and certificate. Members of ASA and ISTC, Institute of Swimming - As members of these organisations you can rest assured that our methods and practices adhere to the nationally recognised standards ensuring the safety of all those involved at Otters Swim School and, of course, the competence of those involved with teaching your children.

These 1:2 lessons can be particularly beneficial for children who may feel overwhelmed in larger groups, giving them the opportunity to learn at their own pace while still enjoying the interaction and motivation of learning alongside another child.

What a fantastic National Summer Meet debut for our Performance Squad swimmer Louis! 🏊‍♂️👏

Louis qualified for the Men's 15 years 50m Backstroke Final at the National Summer Meet, where he went on to finish in 5th PLACE against the country's best. What an achievement! 🌟

Making a national final is something to be incredibly proud of, and Louis showed great composure, determination and skill on the big stage. 💪
