President's day, last Saturday, marked the opening of our summer bowling season. It was great to catch up with people and also welcome new members to Bloomfield.

Bloomfield members enjoyed a Christmas lunch today. As always it's great to meet up with friends in the closed season. Many thanks to All the team who worked so hard to put it together, with a special shout out to Mike, Mo & Tristan.

Well done to all of the finalists who played last weekend in less than favourable weather conditions. Results are below:

Last week Brenda, Jules and Lynn from Bloomfield entered the Ladies Open Triples (Lavender and Lace) at Chippenham BC.

There were 24 teams entered and they won all three of our matches. Three teams
won all their matches they we had the best shot difference so brought home
the cash.

A lovely, chilled afternoon at the club this afternoon, raising money for the MS society.

Thanks to members, family and friends of the club £500 was raised and everyone had a great deal of fun

Yesterday, the Hoss-Fletcher singles contest took place, with the normal good banter, and great bowling.

Well done to all the participants, but especially the organiser, and eventual winner, Ross Turnbill.

One of our lovely members (Tash), a really good bowler, unfortunately suffers with serious breathing problems, so much so, that she thought she may need to quit the sport, as she requires oxygen to walk.

Thanks to many in the club, an old golf trolley was converted into an oxygen cylinder trolley, enabling Tash to participate in today's annual Dorothy Ellis contest

On Sunday, July 27th, we entertained Wellsway residents association, our friends & neighbours. It was lovely to see the neighbourhood getting to know each other, and trying a sport most had never tried before.

There was lots of banter, laughter, and as always at Bloomfield, a few drinks and food.

Many thanks as always to the bowlers at Bloomfield for giving up their time on a Sunday afternoon to make this a very special event.
