- Move your body even if it’s the last thing you feel like doing, get outside, it’s gona be a “Days like this” day in Belfast tomorrow.
- Do something that actually puts a smile on your face, an activity or just switching off for a bit without feeling bad about it.
- Eat good food. Spend time taking something that you love.
That’s it
A rut isn’t your life falling apart
It’s just a few off days or a couple of rough weeks.
So start with one good day, tomorrow’s a good place to start.

One walk.

Simple planning. Clear communication. Shared support.
When two people are busy, communication and planning become even more important.
Talking through the week ahead; training, work, dinners and our plans together, makes everything run smoother, especially when life is full-on.
I’ve noticed this year that when we actually say what we want to do that week, it’s far easier to make it happen.
Not because of magic, but because I’ve got someone in my corner who supports what matters to us. And that support goes both ways.

Things are starting to fall into place.
I started the year with a clear intention: build a better routine around school, coaching, playing, DUAL, and making sure I’m pulling my weight at home.
I knew it wouldn’t all click immediately. Routines and schedules take time to build. But I can feel things settling and becoming more aligned.
I’m not a massive runner, but I started doing a 3km run most days with Luna. It’s not a non-negotiable, but we’re both enjoying it for now, so we’ll keep it going.
Getting my training done earlier has also been a big win. Being home for dinner at a reasonable time has helped create a much better evening routine.
Back on the pitch now and itching to get a game in.
So far, so good. Enjoy the last of January 🙌🙌

Week 2 didn’t go to plan at all, but sometimes the win is adjusting instead of forcing it.
I was struck down by the dreaded bug Tuesday night. Took a step back to focus on recovery and getting back to myself.
Felt good to get two solid pitch sessions in over the weekend. Routine restored, and we move into the new week.
