Saturday saw both the Cubs & Wolfhounds turn out for the SU end of season blitz

Cubs went 2/2 in their group beating NSC and one of the BSCs while the Wolfhounds also went 2/2 taking wins from Cosmos and the Sliders.

Topping their groups both teams were guaranteed a top 4 finish. Cubs were able to dispatch Lisburn to put themselves into the final as their Clubmates fell to a BSC sending them to the 3/4 play off.

Lisburn bodies fell like flies against the Cubs so they roped in a few Sliders men seeking revenge. And revenge they got as the wolfhounds took 4th place out of 12.

Similarly a worse for wear Cubs couldn't outhit BSC as they ran out winners 9-5 seeing the Cubs take 2nd.

A tit for tat game saw a big forth innings ultimately put the game in Neptunes favour.

Well that was tighter than a crabs arse wasn't it!? And that's F'in watertight!

The title decider drew in crowds that the Ethihad could only dream of, to watch the Cubs take on the Brawlers at Strandtown.

There was nothing between the 2 teams for the first four innings as they played anything you can do, I can do too.

The fifth and sixth saw why the Cubs defence is no joke, cleaning up a couple more shut outs while their bats gave them a 6 run lead. The Brawlers could only tack on 2 more runs before the celebrations began.

Cubs take the win and their 2nd league title 10-14!
