𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗗á𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗚𝘆𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗶

Glentoran Football Club can today announce the transfer of goalkeeper Dániel Gyollai to Hungarian Club Kolorcity Kazincbarcika SC subject to International clearance when the Hungarian Football League transfer window opens on 1st July.

"Big Dan" arrived at the BetMcLean Oval in the summer of 2024 and made an instant impression with supporters, with a string of impressive displays earning him the Player of the Year Award.

Gyollai signed a new contract extension in January 2025 on the understanding that he could return to his native Hungary should the opportunity arise.

🗣️ Big Dan "This has been the best year of my football career and I want to thank everyone at Glentoran for making it so special. From the moment I arrived, I felt part of something special. The fans, the players and the staff welcomed me with open arms and supported me every step of the way.

Leaving is not an easy decision. I do so with a heavy heart, but my family are in Hungary and the time feels right to return home for personal reasons."

Whilst we are naturally very disappointed to lose a player of Dan's quality, the club would like to place on record it's thanks for his time at Glentoran and wish him well with the rest of his career.
