*Totnes Regatta 2026*

The WEARA season kicked off for the year at Totnes last weekend. We had a good days racing with some promising results for the year to come.

First off were Millie and Harry in the OJ16 2x, they finished second in their heat and went on to row in the repocharge where they just missed out on a spot in the final.

The OSA 4+ was next up. They won their heat to progress straight through to the final. They rowed well in the final to take a respectable second place 🥈

The ONov 2x finished in second in their heat. This was followed by Andy in the Mas 1x who rowed to a second place finish 🥈

OSB 4+ was next. The crew had a tight race and finished in second 🥈 giving something to build on for the year.

OSC 4+ finished second in their heat, and then finished second in the rep, just missing out on the final also.

This was followed by the WJ16 2x who finished 3rd in their heat.

Best of Luck to Millie Colwill and Harry Wickett this weekend!

Both are representing the Reds and the West region at the Junior Interregional Regatta at Nottingham on Saturday.

Millie is racing as part of the WJ15 4x+ crew, and Harry is racing in the OJ16 4x- crew.

🚩 Head of the River 2026 🚩

A massive well done to our crews that raced across the head of the river weekend on the tideway!

The Op 8+ raced on the Saturday and enjoyed a good row. They finished 278th overall and 10th in the small club category!

We had a Masters novice 4x- entered in the Vesta international masters head of the river race on the Sunday. The crew had a great race and finished in a brilliant 2nd place in their category!

At this years AGM after 8 years, Luis Wilkins stood down as rowing captain. The duties have been handed over to Ross Bennett. Luis will still be around helping out as much as he can.
Good luck to Ross as he steps up as rowing captain. He will have the support of the whole club behind him and will do a great job.

Avon Spring Head 2026 ☀️

First race of 2026 for the Reds!

Just the one crew raced on the day. The Op 4+ of Charlie Colwill, Luis Wilkins, Ricky Syvret, Ross Bennett and Grace Farrell (Cox) finished in a very respectable 2nd place against tough opposition. The strong headwind made for a tough row but the crew battled through.

Well done all!
