Synthonia Bowling Club Billingham

Congratulations to Team A Synthonia Team who made it through to the final of today’s rinks tournament which was held at Elm Tree Bowling Club. Having won 6 out of 6 of their matches to make it to the final and only lost by 1 point in the final to Elm Tree. Massive well done to John Hart, Carol Walker, Sarah Hart, Nick Graham and Andrew Fowler. Thanks to everyone at Elm Tree for their lovely food and refreshments and for hosting such a great day.

What a fabulous day today at Synthonia bowling club. We had a great turn out for the Len Tart Trophy. Three wood mixed triples, 4 matches of 5 ends each. The two teams to make it through to the final were John Hart, Dennis Micklefield and Sharon Butler and Bill Wilson, Sharon Plews and Barry Wells. It was a great final to watch and some amazing bowling played. The worthy winners were John, Dennis and Sharon. A massive well done to them. Thank you to Ian for organising the day and everyone for a wonderful buffet.

Another great day here at Billingham Synthonia. Today we played for the Eric Wilson Cup. 4 woods mixed pairs. The two couples to make it through to the final were Lynda Plews and John Merrifield and Sarah Hart and Ian Hart. It was a brilliant final and the deserving winners were Lynda and John. Well done to you both! Thanks to Ian for organising the day, everyone who turned up to play and to Margaret Adams for the amazing BBQ. See you all at the next competition.

On Sunday here at Synthonia we played for the Norman Harrison Cup and what a glorious day it was. Massive well done to Sharon Butler who was the winner of the cup and Andrew Fowler the runner up. The consolation plate was won by Phil Scott and Tom Butler runner up. Congratulations to both winners and thank you to everyone who took part, also thanks to Ian for organising the day.

Yesterday here at Synthonia Bowling Club we played for the Memorial Shield. It was a lovely day of playing Australian Pairs and remembering past players who are no longer with us. Congratulations to husband and wife team John & Sarah Hart who were the winners on the day and well done to Dennis Micklefield and Margaret Cresswell who were runners up, after a closely fought final. Again thanks to Ian for organising, all members who took part in the competition and to Margaret Adams for the delicious BBQ.
