💙⚽ Proud to be a Mighty Royal! ⚽💙
We give our absolute all to coaching the Mighty Royals, and nights like tonight remind me exactly why we do it! 💙
During tonight’s training session, while I was busy working with the players, Martin Hendry took the time to pull each player aside, one by one, for a little one-to-one chat.
He asked them questions like:
⚽ What do you enjoy most about playing for the Royals?
⚽ What’s changed compared to last season?
⚽ What’s your favourite position?
⚽ Is there anything we could do better?
And do you know what? Hearing the feedback from the players has genuinely made it all worthwhile! 🥹💙
To hear that they all love playing for the Royals and appreciate what we do as coaches means more than any result on a Sunday morning.
But just as importantly, those conversations highlighted things we can improve on, little things we might not always notice from the sidelines. Because as coaches, we’re still learning too, and the players’ voices matter just as much as ours.
It’s not just about developing footballers. It’s about creating an environment where every single player feels happy, valued, listened to and part of something special. 💙

I’m genuinely over the moon that we both took on this challenge last season. We’ve put so much time, effort and heart into this team, and moments like tonight prove that every second is worth it.
It’s more than football. It’s about the players, the memories, the friendships and making a difference.
