We are dance teachers, yes. But ask any TDS family and they’ll tell you we’re a whole lot more than that.

When these kids join us on a Saturday morning at the age of 2, they have no idea of the family they’ve just walked into. And before long, they’re in weekday classes. We blink and they’re teenagers, training with us 4 days a week. 🥺

We’ve watched it happen time and time again (for 36 years! 🙈) and we never take that for granted.

We are the ones who notice when something isn’t quite right. Who remember their wins and sit with them through the hard days. Who push them when they need pushing and support them when they don’t. We know the impact we have on these kids’ lives and we take that role seriously as they grow older. Although, teenage hormones sometimes scare us… but I’d say we’ve mastered that now and become pros. We usually end up being the shoulder to cry on and sometimes the ones to be shouted at 🤣 but we never want to dim that sassy sparkle!! 🙈

So when you’re choosing a dance school… choose wisely. Choose somewhere that sees your child, nurtures them and grows with them.

There’s something really special that happens at TDS that goes far beyond dance

At TDS, we’ve always believed that the relationships these kids build with each other are just as important everything else! Because when they join as 2 year olds they grow with their friends. Isn’t it crazy to think that all of these kids in the room, majority have been with us since they were toddlers!! They arrive as strangers and leave as family. They cheer each other on, lift each other up and show up for one another… week after week. 🥺

They’re there for each other during every milestone, every birthday, every life event… your TDS dance friends are the constant!!

And that is the kind of environment we are so proud to have built.

It’s important to us that we always make sure our kids are always kind to one another and as a team it’s crucial they learn to work together.

We regularly host little wellbeing sessions with the students to ensure we always keep the family feel we intend on and ensure they’re all working as one.
