On Sunday some of M.T.S.C. helped out at the Welsh Target Sprint Open Championship in Llandovery. We arrived for 9 am and were allocated our roles for the day. First race was at 10 am and one of the competitors was our own Nathanial Salvatore. Nate won this race which was the Junior men's. He also won the Men's Target Sprint Welsh Champion 2026. He and his running partner Hannah Leverett came 3rd in the pairs event.

The range will be closed on Sunday, August 9th, as all keyholders are unavailable. It will reopen on August 11th for the Walk-in Open Session, followed by Normal Practice on Wednesday, August 12th.

Hi all.
A great weekend at Aberdare Park. The 2026 Aberdare Park Road Races took place on Saturday 1st August and Sunday 2nd August 2026 at the iconic 0.9-mile closed-road public park circuit in South Wales. We were honoured to be part of this prestigious event. Our four lane range entertained the racing crowd with a skilled competition of six meter air r***e shooting. With a prize or £50 for both Saturday and Sunday. Our winner on Saturday was Ashley Barbour with 49 out of 50 and on Sunday Lucy Kate Boardman took the prize with 47.2 out of 50. Ashley left before the competition finished, but Lucy Kate had her picture taken with Mr Sion Evans, an Instructor at M.T.S.C.

Our Sunday winner of the competion, held in our mobile range at the Bridgend Country Show. Ryan scored 50 out of 50 to win the prize. He came to our range in Kenfig Hill to collect his voucher and a few goodies. While he was there he took the opportunity to try out Bell Target Shooting. We hope he enjoyed himself at the range and is welcome back anytime.

The sun was out and the sky was blue over the weekend for two brilliant days at the Bridgend Country Show. M.T.S.C. were there with our mobile range. Bringing the sport of target shooting to the families of Bridgend and local areas.
Some high scores, some not so high, but whatever their score, everyone left the range with smiles on their faces after trying out target shooting for the first time. Some really good natural shots this weekend with the winner on Saturday achieving a score of 47 out of 50 and Sundays winner hitting the maximum of 50. There were some magnificent ladies and juniors participating for their first time achieving very good scores.

We attended the ***eLeague annual presentation last night, where the members of the Porthcawl Air R***e Team (P.A.R.T.) received some awards. P.A.R.T. is the Morgannwg Target Sports Club's participating team in the Bridgend league. Porthcawl won all of the three leagues this year amongst other awards. Please see the full awards list below.
