What a performance from our O70s Women! 👏

After a 300-mile round trip to Essex, the team battled for over 4 hours in a fiercely competitive tie, finishing 2–2 in rubbers and losing by just ONE game! 😮‍💨🎾

A terrific performance from the whole team throughout the season.

Avon Tennis 8U/9U County Trials 2026

The Avon Tennis 8U & 9U County Coaches will once again be holding County Trials for players who are keen to continue their journey in tennis and be part of the county training programme.

The sessions will take place at David Lloyd Long Ashton on Sunday 1st November.

Key things for coaches to consider before signing players up for the trials:

• Players should be born in 2019 or younger (8U) & 2018 (9U)
• Players should be regularly competing and playing at a club
• Players should be able to rally, serve and score
• They should be passionate about tennis

👨‍👩‍👦 Parents – please speak to your child’s coach about their suitability for these trials.
🎾 Coaches – please fill out a nomination form or get in touch with Ollie Bendall if you have any queries about players you wish to recommend.

We look forward to meeting lots of new players at the trials, for a fun and informal assessment led by our County Coaches.

LTA SENIORS COUNTY CUP | Avon O50s Women

Our Avon 50s Women’s team secured a 3–1 victory over Wiltshire, putting them top of Division 3A and, subject to confirmation, on course for promotion to Division 2 next season!

Huge congratulations to all the players and reserves for an outstanding team effort throughout the season. 🙌

And a special thank you to Sarah Shore, who captained the team brilliantly! 👏

Division 2, here we come!

The 50’s women’s team beat Wiltshire 3-1 which has put them top of Division 3a which should guarantee them promotion to Division 2 next season. Congratulations to all the players and reserves and to Sarah Shore who captained the team.

🎾 JUNIOR SQUAD SOCIAL 2026 🎾

What a fantastic afternoon ⭐️

Great to see our Junior Squad players having so much fun at yesterday’s social, taking on a whole host of team sports — cricket 🏏, football ⚽, handball 🤾, hockey 🏑 and bench ball!

It was also a special opportunity to present our juniors who have represented Avon in County Cups with their well-deserved medals and County Colours 🏅💙💛

Everyone definitely earned their ice creams at the end… and they were HUGE! 🍦😂

A massive thank you to Pete, Ollie, Tom, Martyn, Emily, Georgiana & Rana for all your help. Your support was invaluable and hugely appreciated! 👏

What a great way to celebrate our Junior Squad and all their hard work! 💙💛🎾

Inaugural Walking Tennis Competition | Version 2 ☀️🎾

What a difference a couple of weeks makes! 😎

After being postponed due to the rain, our inaugural Walking Tennis Competition finally got underway today at Clifton Lawn Tennis Club — and what a day for it! ☀️🎾

Blue skies, sunshine, plenty of great tennis and, most importantly, lots of smiles and fantastic competition

LTA SENIORS COUNTY CUP | AVON O45

Continuing success for the Avon Men O45 Team with a 5-0 win against Lincs at the weekend 👏

Avon O45s are undefeated so far with 4 wins out of 4 💪

With only one more match to play in Division 1B, the team are very close to qualifying for the National Championship play- off.

🎾 LTA 12U COUNTY CUP 🎾

What a weekend of tennis for our Avon 12U Girls & Boys Teams! 💙💛

🌟 Girls – 3rd Place
At Oxstalls in Gloucester, the girls battled through a weekend of incredibly close matches, with some nail-biting tie-break shoot-outs along the way. A fantastic 3rd place finish and a brilliant team effort! 👏

Boys – 5th Place
The boys travelled to Queenswood School in Hertfordshire and faced some tough opposition throughout. With more matches going down to shoot-outs, they narrowly missed out on several victories before finishing a very respectable 5th place.

Huge congratulations to all the players for their effort, determination and team spirit throughout the weekend. Plenty to be proud of! 💪🎾
