๐พ THE FEAR OF DOGS IS REAL โ AND IT SHOULD NEVER BE UNDERESTIMATED. ๐พ
Imagine being genuinely frightened of an animal you see almost everywhere.
For many children and adults, simply seeing a dog approaching can trigger very real fear, anxiety and distress.
And hearing โDonโt be scared, heโs friendly!โ doesnโt make that fear disappear.
A fear of dogs can have a huge impact on everyday life. A trip to the park, walking to school, visiting friends or simply being out and about can become something to worry about rather than enjoy.
๐ But progress is possible.
Whether there is an obvious reason behind the fear or not, I can help children and adults gradually build confidence and feel safer around dogs.
My approach is kind, compassionate and always led by the individualโs pace.
There is no forcing interaction.
There is no expectation to touch a dog before someone is ready.
And we certainly donโt simply put someone next to a dog and hope they โget used to itโ.
As a Kids Around Dogsยฎ KAD Approved Professional, I am qualified to deliver the KAD Protocol to Overcome the Fear of Dogs โ a structured programme designed to help children and adults develop confidence around dogs safely and compassionately.
๐ Fear is real.
๐ Progress is possible.
๐ Nobody should ever be made to feel silly for being afraid.
