Specialist Batting, Fast, Spin, Bowling, & Wicket Keeping Summer Sizzler 2 cricket coaching courses at Stapleton CC brought our summer holiday courses to an end after 5 lovely weeks in the sun

Batting we covered the front foot drives and pull shot allowing players to explore scoring options with power or timing and putting it under pressure with some fun challenges.

The Specialist Fast bowling session starting with a good warm up for improving running techniques, power and balance, then we progressed to the players working on shining/ smoothing the ball to allow lateral movement through the air, why the front arm is important to helping to generate pace and drills to assist with this, we then moved onto Good Line and Length, Yorkers, and Variations, plenty to explore and take away to work on.

The specialist spin session explored the different types of spin and how their individual bowling actions can help aid spin and help consistency. The session progressed utilising the different types of spin and individual bowling actions to explore bowling at different paces, bowling from different angles, spinning the ball in different directions and bowling in competition. It was Spin to Win!

Wicket Keeping working on the basics of standing up and back using a variety methods to test the keepers reactions, watching with distractions to make it harder!

Autmn courses are live to book on the website and we look forward to seeing you all then
