Air temp isn’t water temp. Stay safe.
Entering cold water makes you GASP.
Cold water increases your breathing and heart rate, causing PANIC.
Your muscles will get too cold, making you uncoordinated and WEAK.
RLSS UK’s advice is:
• Choose lifeguarded spots
• Never swim alone
• Wear bright colours
• Enter the water slowly
• Get out before you get cold
If you get into trouble, Find Your Float.
It may feel warm outside, but the water isn’t.
Share this vital water safety advice to help keep others safe.

☀️ Cracking weather up Hurstwood today, although the climb up to the reservoir seemed longer than normal… ⛰️
Remember if you’re setting up pools etc at home to remember to stay SAFE 🛟

Today I taught this group for the final time as they achieved their stage 7 certificates!
I can still remember when each and every one of them started their journeys at such young ages, each wearing arm bands, struggling with confidence issues and not able to get from A to B.
Look at them now! Each one amazing in their own way, full of confidence and ability!
We’ve had so many laughs along the way, lessons full of banter, jokes and stories.
As sad as it is to lose such an amazing bunch of children, this is what makes what we do at Just Keep Swimming so special!
Thank you to all of you for the cards and gifts your kind words mean the world to me.
