I’m not embarrassed about wanting more money.
And I don’t think we should be made to feel shallow for admitting that we do.
Money pays for the horses. The holidays. Days out with the kids. Meals with friends. The ridiculous vet bills. The bigger house. The experiences. And the future I want to create for my family.
I want to earn really bloody good money.
But I realised I didn’t want it badly enough to sacrifice even more of my time to get it.
Because what’s the point in earning enough to afford the life you want if you’re constantly too busy working to actually enjoy it?
I didn’t want another promotion that came with more responsibility.
I didn’t want to add more hours to an already full week.
And I definitely didn’t want to wait until retirement to finally have control over my time.
So I started looking at how I could earn differently.
Something I could build around my life rather than continually rearranging my life around work.
That decision eventually led me to building my online business.
Now the goal isn’t simply “make more money”.
It’s more money AND more choice.
More control over my diary.
More time with my kids.
More daylight hours for horses and dogs.
More experiences.
More financial breathing room.
More ability to say yes when I want to.
Because money matters.
But so does having a bloody life to spend it on.
