How to Join

Membership is open to anyone over the age of sixteen. New members are always welcome, particularly novices to the sport of triathlon. The Club is able to cater for all levels of abilities. We have a range of athletes from first time triathletes, to those competing at GB Age Group level. We have coached sessions taking place all around Cardiff. All our coached sessions are instructed by experienced British Triathlon accredited coaches

Cardiff Triathletes have been supporting, promoting and developing triathlon in Cardiff for over 30 years. We are open to applications from new members. If you are interested in joining the , email the membership team on [email protected]

IRONMAN WALES EDITION 🐉 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

HUUUUUGE well done to everyone who competed IRONMAN UK Wales on Sunday, especially our Cardiff triathletes, you should all be incredibly proud 💛💙🖤

You were all AWESOME out there in what were insanely challenging conditions!! 🌧️ Very well done to those who managed to stay upright on their bike 🤣. Extra kudos to Emily Rose Hopkins who claimed an overall 2nd in AG 💪🏼 & Miles Brown who had the fastest swim in his AG 🦈

And to every supporter who cheered from the sidelines, thank you too 👏🏼🫶🏻

We also had Jordan flying the flag at Activity Wales Events Saundersfoot triathlon on the Friday night - well done Jordan 👏🏼💥

What a club. What a team. 💛💙🖤

💥 PEGASUS SLAM 2026 💥

Now this achievement needs its own insta post 🤩🤩🤩

April - BOWUM, Monmouth, 30 miles
May - HOWUM, Llanidloes, 30 miles
June - VOGUM, Porthcawl - Lavernock - 40 miles
July - PIGUM - Rhymney Valley - 30 miles
August - EDDUM - Builth Wells - 50 miles
September - RIDUM - Parc Pennalta - 30 miles

210 miles, 23,515ft elevation.

In the words of Jenny .. ‘I fell 2 miles before the end of the last one, got a few cuts & bruises & hurt my Shoulder. Convinced myself it was just bruised so carried on & finished, even drove Home & then found out the next day I’ve got a small fracture to my Shoulder! Got the Medal & the Trophy for completing the Pegasus Slam though, so that’s the important part 😂’

WOW Jenny Slocombe TAKE A BOW 🙇‍♀️ 🤩. What an insane achievement… Hope you’re having a lie down now and resting that shoulder!!! Cardiff triathletes are proud of you 💛💙🖤

🏅 Medal Monday 🏅

Huge congrats to our club secretary Jenny Slocombe who finished her 6th Ultra Marathon in 6 months… 210 miles with 23,515ft of elevation 🏔️ . INCREDIBLE 🙌!!! Well done Jenny 🫶🏻

Sam Holwill went and WON the Cotswolds aqua bike 🏊🏻 🏃🏻- awesome racing Sam 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Becca & George Lance were at the Gower Bike Ride ☀️ 🚲 - couple goals 🥰

We had lots of members racing at Cardiff 10k with a few PBs on display!! Extra kudos to Elliot on his 2km effort 👏🏼👏🏼 WELL DONE ALL 🤩💥

Jonathan Airey took top spot at Heathwood™️ Swimming 1500m 🥇 💪🏼 👏🏼

The final of the Triathlon Cymru super series was at Bala on Sunday with several members competing! Well done to Matt Taliesin Coombes who came 3rd & 5th in AG in the series overall - awesome racing both 💥💥💥

Well done to everyone competing at the weekend!! 🤩👏🏼

We had a big turnout at SWYD Tri Club qualifier on Sunday with everyone tackling the challenging conditions 💪🏼 🌊 💨 . Awesome performance everyone 👏🏼👏🏼

Well done to Becca Hitt for an amazing performance at the Wimbleball lake swim taking home the 2nd lady trophy woooooop 🤩 🏆

Another girl power moment for on the weekend competing in the Wimbleball standard distance and taking home 3rd Vet 🏅💥 AWESOME!!

Only 2 weeks to go before the big one at Tenby - hope everyone is praying to the weather gods 🙏

Firstly a huge congrats to David who went out and smashed Ironman Leeds yesterday 👏🏼👏🏼💪🏼💪🏼. Amazing performance 🤩 - looks like you had an awesome support crew 🫶🏻

Ceri Puckett was at the Scottish 10k in Edinburgh 💪🏼 🏃🏽‍♀️well done Ceri!

Great to see the solar eclipse didn’t stop anyone training last week… glasses at the ready for Craig & Jonathan Airey on the bikes 🚴🏼 with Mark Jones rocking them at the track 😎 ☀️ 🌙

Mid week round up ☀️

With less racing happening last weekend our members were out in force training hard 💪🏼

An awesome Wednesday track sesh in the heat 🥵 followed by some shorter vale spins and some monster Ironman training rides… T - 4.5 weeks 🤩
