Pentwyn and llanedeyrn angling club
We the committee would like to thank all club members and visiting anglers for the support throughout the winter and up to date fishing months.
Due to the 6 weeks holiday anyone interested in fishing if bored or fed up, grab your rods and have a go at fishing, all is welcome to fish all day..
Β£5 a day seniors
Β£40 a year seniors
Β£5 a day disabled and OAPS

Β£2.50 a day juniors
evening tickets available from 5pm till 11pm at Β£2.50 seniors or Β£1.25 juniors
Day tickets and numbered membership cards will be issued with a receipt on the lake bank by club bailiffs

The lake is easy to find, just behind pentwyn leisure centre, through the gates and over the steam bridge, the lake will be just infront of you.
Carp still being caught up till yesterday Sunday evening, using boilies on the lake bed, bread flakes and dog biscuits on top
To all anglers interested there is a page called Pentwyn Lake Fishing, where you can find more information about the lake and pictures of the fish being caught
All juniors up to 16yrs must be off the lake at 9pm unless accompanied by an adult over 18yrs of age
We would like to thank all residents and families for using the facilities, ie, picnic benches and tables or just going for a stroll with the little ones
All visitors wishing to feed the wildlife please could we ask you bring corn or wheat, as bread is not really suitable for the wildlife

Well done to Josh sullivan (sully) bagging up on pentwyn Lake, fishing overnight for 4 nights, he landed 44 carp and 3 tench
The carp weighed in from 4lb to the biggest being 16lb 4oz
The biggest tench weighed in at 3lb 9oz
He fished the nights between the 8th of June to the 12th of June 2021!!
Local anglers Josh has done well for the club and anglers on the pentwyn and llanedeyrn lake
The lake is still fishing well
All is welcome, come and have a go!!!
At just Β£5 a day seniors
Β£5 a night from 10.30pm to 10am
Yearly memberships offered to all anglers joining at Β£40 a year seniors which can be obtained from the water bailiffs on the water banks

Great first opening day and night on pentwyn Lake for a couple of the lads, over 30 fish out between them all, biggest being caught 24lb, top rods guys ππ
Anyone wanting a day ticket or a membership please ask the bailiffs on or around the lake, or message through here or give them a call

Pensioner who built community garden during lockdown told to take it down Cardiff council say Keith Lane did not get permission to build a brick structure - intended to be used as a pond - in the communal garden
Lake reopens 30th of May 2021!!!
Don't forget your rod licences please
set up for 10pm Saturday night ready to fish at 12am Sunday for a night fish if u like π must by half 10 following morning

We the members would also like to thank all cardiff City councillors, heads of parks, sports and amenities for staying open throughout winter months of the covid pandemic
A big thank you to all councillors for allowing this to happen and allowing Angling to continue
The committee would also like to thank, the dog walkers, bird spotters, joggers, walkers, local senior citizens for using parc coed y nant, all is welcome to come and visit, enjoy a morning or evening out, try the new picnic tables and benches provided for the visitors around the lake
Ample car parking around the back of pentwyn leisure centre
Local shops nearby such as greggs, farmfoods, bnm and onestop, all local to the lake and a 3 min car drive or a 10 min walk
To all anglers and visitors, please use the bins provided around the lake or take your litter home with you please, thank you Mr k Lane club chairman
Thank you To the local litter pickers for their help and service throughout the year, also the council bin men and grass cutters who work for our local council
Thank you To all carp anglers, both members and visitors for all your support throughout the covid pandemic, if you could please social distance, bring a mask and hand sanitiser
To all nature enthusiasts as you know the closed season was for 2 months, this is for the birds to nest and fish to spawn, at the moment there are baby swans, coots ducks and mallards hatched out, we would like to ask all visitors not to feed the waterfowl with bread as it is not very beneficial to the them, if you wish to feed them please use a type of grain such as barley wheat, crushed maize oats or a bag of wild bird seed
Day/night day ticket visitors or non local anglers must help to pay a day ticket when asked to do so by a bailiff,

The water fished well throughout the winter months with some anglers catching up to 8 carp in a session, some were around 17lb to 24lb, well done to all who fished the winter months
To all club members and visitors as you all or some of you may know how the club was set up initially, the club runs on a finicial basis, all money collected or donated goes towards the upkeep and running of the lake, there are no paid jobs in our club society, all moneys taken from members or day ticket visitors pay the yearly rent and yearly insurance fees to our local council!!!
