Taking place on Sunday 3rd October 2027, after unprecedented growth in recent years, entries for the Cardiff Half are offered via a ballot to help manage demand and ensure fair access for everyone.

Need a calm place to relax before the big race? National Museum Cardiff Amgueddfa Cymru is opening early from 7am on Sunday 4 October, with hot drinks and breakfast rolls available until 10am.

Supporters are welcome too - and there’s even a banner-making activity for young cheerleaders! 🏁👏

Cardiff Half travel information, from Transport for Wales Trafnidiaeth Cymru🚆

Transport for Wales will operate more than 90 additional services to help you travel to and from the event.

Services are expected to be extremely busy throughout the day, so please allow extra time for your journey and check before you travel. If you're attending as a spectator, consider using a later morning service where possible to help spread demand and ease crowding.

Queuing systems and pre-event ticket checks will be in place at Cardiff Central. If you're returning home after 11am, please note that Cathays station will be closed for return journeys. After this time, please travel from Cardiff Central or Cardiff Queen Street.
