It’s not because exercise magically fixes my ADHD. Not because I’m suddenly productive, organised and able to switch my brain off.
But because it gives me something solid to come back to.
It gives my brain somewhere to put all that energy. It gives me structure when everything feels chaotic, a sense of achievement when I’m struggling to get going, and time where I can focus on just one thing instead of the 47 other things happening in my head.
Some days I train because I feel amazing and want to push myself.
Other days, I train because I need to get out of my head for a bit.
And some days I train because it’s who I am. I’ve shown up for myself, learned, overcome and changed my identity. I’m no athlete but I’m definitely not the girl who would skip PE anymore.
As an online coach and PT, I’m passionate about helping other people build that relationship with training too. Not just for how it makes you look, but for how it can support you in feeling stronger, more confident and more capable in everyday life.
Training doesn’t fix everything my brain throws at me. But it gives me something that helps me manage it. And that matters. ❤️
