Jess and I would like to say a huge thank you to all of our Sunday swimmers.

As we come to the end of our last working Sunday, we just wanted to say how grateful we are for every one of you. You have made every Sunday so enjoyable and your support over the years has meant so much to us.

We have been completely overwhelmed by your kindness and generosity today. Thank you for all of your lovely words, cards and gifts. We are genuinely going to miss you all and we really hope our paths cross again in the future.

I also want to say an extra special thank you to Jess. She is not only an incredible teacher but a great friend. We actually first met at a baby swimming class when we were both there with our little boys. At the start, neither of us realised we were both swimming teachers. When I was pregnant with my youngest, Jess stepped in and took over the Sunday teaching. Without her, we would have not been able to keep our Sunday classes running for as long as we have.

Thank you Jess, for everything and thank you to every single one of our Sunday swimmers for making so many wonderful memories with us. We have loved being part of your swimming journeys and feel incredibly lucky to have taught such a lovely bunch of families.

𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶-𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 👵🏼

This weekend we celebrated Liz’s (semi) retirement! 🥂

Liz is officially stepping back from all of her regular teaching hours, something she has been trying to do for a long time. But if we are honest, she has always been the one filling the gaps whenever we have been short of teachers 🏊‍♀️

Today is the day we can finally say she has no regular hours and can enjoy retirement although, it is only a semi-retirement. Let’s be honest, we will still be calling and begging her to cover the odd class when someone is off and we definitely still need her to help keep the pool running. We don’t think Liz will ever be able to fully retire in her life time 😂

Liz, thank you for being the most incredible inspiration and role model to us all. Thank you for training so many of us, supporting us through the highs and lows, and always being there when we have needed you. Your passion, dedication and encouragement has helped shape not only our team, but thousands of swimmers over the years 🥰

We are so grateful for everything you have done, and we would not be where we are today without you ❤️
