Recruiting data for US coaches 📈

This year, we at Player Path introduced an exciting new feature at our annual showcase event - the use of Sportable to collect real-time player data on the field.

For US coaches, this means access to valuable insights for their next recruit. Take the example below of Freddy Palmer, a left-footed center-back. Using the data, we can break down his impact on the game, including the areas of the pitch where he was most effective, his carries, passes, successful passes, forward passes, time spent on the ball, and how he compares to others in his position.

This factual data gives coaches the confidence to recruit our players based on detailed performance insights rather than just relying on highlight reels. You’ll know exactly the type of player you’re bringing into your team.

Note: Figures in the example represent one of four 25-minute matches at our showcase event.

Player Path Combine Event

During the combine, participants will receive a comprehensive assessment of their athletic performance, led by elite strength and conditioning coaches from the Premier League.

Key performance metrics such as speed, agility, endurance, and explosive power will be measured from various testing in the morning. Lunch will then be provided for athletes in the elite athlete catering lounge before heading on to the pitches for filmed matches in the afternoon. Data reports and footage will then be sent to UK and US scouts with some attending on the day too.
